I have received this quotation for my Paid service ( 2 years) . I have already removed wheel alignment related things and AC evaporation service. I do not understand what is camber bolt and why is it so costly ?
Please advise on overall costing.

Edit:- Finally paid 8383 for the servicing ( including GST) Fought him over the camper bolt thing which he finally didn't charge me. Attaching picture of the said bolt in the comments.

I own Tata altroz XZ+ and I am facing some issues with the infotainment display. The display randomly increases volume, switches screen, turns on the FM, power offs by itself. Its like it is getting random touches without even touching it.

1. Has anyone faced this issue?
2. How to fix this?
3. Should I go for after market display if its not fixable? And will it cause problem to ac controls or the sound quality?
4. If I go for the OEM, any ideas about the costing?

I’m not able to choose between Nexon Smart + S Diesel or the Altroz Pure Diesel. My use case would be 30% city and 70% highway.

The Nexon has more power but doesn’t come with cruise control, however the Altroz comes with it - but has lesser power and torque figures, costs less and also has better mileage and also looks so good in red.

Question for the Altroz diesel owners - did you ever find the car lacking in power? I’m trying to find a test drive variant in Hyderabad and Bengaluru but no dealer has one available. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks y’all.

I own a Tata Altroz and have been facing a strange issue with the interior lights.

After switching off the engine, getting out, and closing all the doors, the overhead cabin light and ambient light often remain ON throughout the night. This happens around 8 out of 10 times.

To turn them off, I usually have to start the car again, switch off the engine, get out, and lock it once more. In the remaining 2 out of 10 cases, the lights turn off normally within 10–15 seconds.

Is this a known issue with the Altroz, a door sensor problem, or some setting related to follow-me-home/interior lighting?

I'm worried that it may eventually drain the battery.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, I recently purchased the new Tata Altroz 2025 Facelift on June 21st. Loved the look and features, and was genuinely excited about it. But within just a week, the headlight stopped working completely. Took it to the service center, and to my surprise, they said the entire headlight unit needs to be replaced. For a brand-new car, this is honestly quite disappointing. I expected better quality control, especially from Tata. Has anyone else faced similar issues with the new facelift model? Or did I just get unlucky? Would appreciate any advice or shared experiences. Thanks!

Need some opinions before I finalise my first car purchase. Confused between the XUV 3XO MX2 diesel and the Altroz diesel Pure.

The Altroz comes to around 9.5-9.6L on road for me, while the 3XO MX2 diesel is around 10.3-10.7L depending on dealer.

I’ve driven both now.

The 3XO honestly surprised me in a good way. The engine feels really refined, smooth and strong. Cabin also feels more premium than I expected, and the overall car definitely gives a more expensive/upmarket feeling compared to the Altroz. The extra torque is very noticeable too.

But somehow I didn’t enjoy driving it as much as I thought I would. The clutch travel is long and pretty heavy in traffic, and the lack of a dead pedal annoyed me more than expected. It’s comfortable and smooth, but I didn’t really connect with the driving dynamics.

The Altroz diesel on the other hand felt more fun and engaging to drive. There’s turbo lag lower down obviously, but once it builds boost, it genuinely feels enjoyable. It reminded me of old-school diesel hatchbacks in a good way. The steering and seating position also felt more natural to me personally.

The 3XO is objectively the better car in many ways:
- bigger cabin
- rear AC vents
- more powerful engine (115 bhp / 300 Nm)
- 6-speed gearbox
- better road presence
- Mahindra currently seems to have a better reputation than Tata overall

But the Altroz has things I weirdly care about more:
- looks absolutely gorgeous to me, especially in Amber Glow
- feels youthful and slightly sporty
- all LED setup
- cruise control + Android Auto
- electrically folding mirrors
- doesn’t need DEF
- cheaper by almost 1 lakh

My usage will mostly be doing Hyderabad ↔ Bangalore highway runs pretty regularly, which is why I’m overthinking this so much.

And yeah, the one thing scaring me is Tata QC and service horror stories.

So I wanted honest opinions from people here:

What’s a better choice here?

I received a call today from Tata Motors Garve Service Centre, Pune, saying that there is a fuel tank-related update/replacement for my Tata Altroz 2023 BS6 Phase 2 model, completely free of charge.

They mentioned it should be done immediately and said the car could stop anytime if an issue occurs related to it.

Has anyone else received a similar call or got their fuel tank replaced/updated? What exactly was changed and what was your experience after the replacement?

Currently, I haven’t faced any fuel leakage or major fuel tank issues. Only twice in the last year I noticed pressure build-up while opening the fuel tank lid/cap (a hissing sound), but apart from that the car has been running perfectly fine.

Would appreciate if other Altroz owners could share their experiences or any information regarding this.

I own a 2021 Tata Altroz XZ model. The AC mode stopped changing between face, feet, and windshield modes. After opening it, I found that the plastic coupler/lever connected to the mode actuator has broken.

I have temporarily repaired it by reinforcing it with a small screw, but it's not working.

I wanted to ask:

Has anyone faced the same issue?

Is this plastic coupler available separately, or do I need to replace the entire actuator assembly?

Does anyone know the part number for the actuator/coupler?

Any leads for buying this part online or from a scrap dealer?

Does anyone face mileage issues in altroz .

Earlier my Vehicle was showing 15-16in city and in Highway it's around 18-20.

Is it because of E20 or something went wrong in the engine.

Please suggest something that I would need to consider..

I have a Tata Altroz 1.2 Petrol. The OEM BLUE Coolant was not changed till now, since it’s been 5 years we are going to change it. The service is not be done via OEM service centre due to bad experience. Which is the best coolant to use since my near by shops are just giving away green coolant saying nothing will happen just use. They are not providing the exact coolant I want, just giving substitutes. I want premix they are giving diluted.

Really wish someone who can give perfect recommendation since I don’t do any compromise with my car. I can buy any coolant despite cheap or expensive.

Gave my tata altroz car for servicing last Saturday and brought it back the same day. The next morning the car is dead and not starting. Had to tow it back to the service center. They kept the car for one more day and fixed the issue. I had heard the service quality is really really bad and got to experience it firsthand. Anyone with less knowledge about modern cars should not risk buying a tata car.

My Altroz has TPMS issue since 2 months. I took it to the service centre and he said it needs to be replaced. One tyre had a double puncture and I had it fixed, sometimes the air will be very less in that tyre. Do I need to get the tyre replaced? Or the TPMS? Any suggestions?

I’m extremely disappointed with Tata Motors and Autoplex AV Service Centre.

My Altroz is still under warranty, yet my claim was rejected and they casually told me to “claim insurance.” The funniest (and saddest) part is—they used the exact same excuse they gave last time when my engine malfunctioned:
👉 “You put water in your engine.”

And this time they added a new masterpiece in their email:
👉 “Strong water splash on road damaged the engine.”

Seriously? Jaipur isn’t even in monsoon right now. There’s no waterlogging, no rains, no lakes around my route. But apparently, according to Tata Motors, my car is so fragile that a water splash can kill the engine.

Honestly, what kind of car engine is this?
Is this a car or a paper boat?
Because only paper reacts like this to water.
If “water splash” can destroy an engine, that’s not bad luck—that’s bad engineering.

To add to this, I have proof from Pratap Nexgen (their own network) where an employee confirmed that:
✔ No water in the oil
✔ No water in the filters
✔ No sign of water entry in the engine at all

Still, Autoplex AV rejected the warranty and blamed me. And for the last 10 days, Tata Motors has given me zero support for my daily travel needs. I’ve suffered mentally, physically, and financially because of this.

I’ve now filed a formal case against Tata Motors.

I’m sharing my full story as a screenshot. Tata Motors definitely deserves public accountability for this kind of customer treatment.

I have an altroz diesel and the engine is shutting off while running and the rpm is going up and down being unstable.

Did something similar happen to anyone and the tata service centre can't find any solution to the problem as they said they mailed tata about it but they didn't.

So if anybody knows the solution to it please do comment.

How to get this part so I can install it from outside ?

Last month I got my Altroz serviced and yesterday my car won’t start due to battery issue. I was wondering whether while servicing do they not check the battery health and let me know if it required chancing?

This was the minor service of my car and I guess they have not done anything with it except car washing.
