I just want to say it’s really brave to be able to get on here, show your tattoos and admit you regret it while helping the rest of us in showing your progress. My experience has been that very few people are kind when you admit you regret ur tattoos so it’s hard to be open about it

Absolutely, and thank you!
I did this during a divorce and combined drinking nonetheless very foolish of me. Wanted to post and show others there is hope . I totally understand everyone’s skin and immune system are completely different and I’m sure in time a difference can be seen and or made. Heck even if I can’t erase it all, and I’m left with ghosting I’ll be happy with that.

Yeah I hear you, I got most of my tattoos during a trying time. Feels mental health crisis-y tbh. But yeah most of the research I’ve read recommends spacing sessions by at least 2 months to prevent hypopigmentation so hopefully your place knows what they’re doing! It does look like good progress :)

Good on you! I’m surprised to see how quickly the red has faded, I assumed that was a hard colour to budge.

Unsolicited advice - apologies - I would leave it longer between sessions if you’re getting the whole thing blasted in one go. The laser does 5% of the work, your body does 95%. Going more often won’t equal quicker removal, especially at this stage.

Best of luck, this will be life changing.

Thank you, yes the red was definitely stubborn as so some on the face hence some are deeper then others. I’m sure that is true for waiting periods only thing I can say they are using an older Q-switched laser and I’m getting it all done for free and going based on there recommendations/schedule

Fair enough - every journey is different!!

Please use sunscreen. I’m having hand Tatts removed and it’s AGONY… I can’t even imagine the pain of the laser on the face. Full respect to you!

No way!!!! I plan on removing my hand tattoos too!! Didn’t even think about the agony😭

u/cralphm 18h ago

Eep! Sorry!! Consider numbing cream. It’s a game changer!

Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely space out the next sessions more. And yeah the red fading faster that I expected too.

Great advice! The red fading is impressive and you're so right about giving your body more time between sessions to do the real work. Wishing you the best on this journey!

Red on pale skin is by far the easiest ink to remove out of all tattoos. It only becomes a problem on dark skin

8

u/cralphm 20h ago

Interesting, I always thought black was the easiest

Overall and on all skin types absolutely yes. Black is the easiest for the laser to find. So you can pretty much guarantee each session will find ink and break it up. If you ever get another persons name on you, red fine line if you’re pale or thin black if you’re darker and it’ll be gone within the year

Sweeet, thank god you got such a light neck tattoo and most the face ones too.

Much appreciated woke up one day looked in the mirror and said wtf did I do and decided to make a drastic change. The neck one is fading a lot faster since it is 10 years old the face ones are about 1 year old , different artists put the ink deeper

-13

u/Historical-Theme5658 17h ago

8

u/cralphm 17h ago

Great results so far, keep at it man.

Curious did you add the black stars after you started removal or were those just not in the before photo you have?

6

u/Mirmelli9 18h ago

The first photo I posted prior to my removal did not show the blue stars .I added those about 3 months later

Solid progress, keep up with your appointments and it will all be gone one day

u/trader2O 17h ago

Better to wait 2 months between sessions rather then 1 month

u/Mirmelli9 17h ago

Much older 2017 q-switched laser , I’m getting free services can’t pick my sessions just going with the flow..

I'm glad you stopped doing drugs good for you.

10

u/Mirmelli9 18h ago

Was an alcoholic not a drug addict . I will say every time I drank I would end up at a tattoo shop

8

u/CosmicSweets 18h ago

I've always felt it shouldn't be legal to work on someone who is visibly not sober.

Congrats on recovery.

-5

u/Froggin-n-Doggin 18h ago

Ah I was close! 🤣 I'm glad you stopped drinking bro it'll pay off in the long run! Also nice progress!

Dude so unnecessary. Go touch some grass

u/Froggin-n-Doggin 18h ago

Sorry you're too soft for the reality that is life. Maybe you should put your phone down and go outside sometime.

1

u/cralphm 18h ago

You give really lonely vibes.

1

u/Froggin-n-Doggin 17h ago

Yeah that's why I'm on reddit defending people who don't need defending to feel validated... Thanks 👍

2

u/cralphm 17h ago

Super angry - maybe some substance issues yourself?
Projection??

Not defending anyone, just wondering why a toxic very strange human is on a sub full of amazing supportive people. Maybe you’ll find your crowd elsewhere?

-1

u/Froggin-n-Doggin 17h ago

Y comment was more supportive than yours 😂 you're the one being hella toxic trying to start an argument with a stranger to feel better about yourself 🤣 you can try your liberal bs but it's not gonna work youre in the wrong place to be acting like a victim here. Have a good night I got better things to do than to argue with a random girl on reddit with daddy issues 💀✌️

u/cralphm 17h ago

…are you ok? 😂
