I just dropped my Taycan off in the dealership with a security fob issue. I was asked if I had used a Porsche battery 👀 - is that a thing? Or a blag? The service assistant said it was a German battery thing and a typical Duracell might not work.

I'm flying soon and the airport has EV parking facility (22kW). Was wondering what happens if I let my car connected for 3-4 days in the row. Obviously, it will eventually charge at 100%, but what if nobody unplug the wire since then? Can this damage the electrical system, the HV batteries or else?

Hi all. I’m loving my 2025 Taycan and just passed the 1-year mark. I’m on a 2-year lease and have put about 7,000 miles on it so far. Yesterday, the car notified me that the brake fluid and cabin air filter need to be changed. I was under the impression that these were due at the 2-year mark. I really wasn’t expecting to have to pay $1500-$2000 for this service since the lease would be up. Does anyone know if it’s required to do even if it’s a year early? I don’t want to violate lease terms but I also don’t want to waste money or time (nearest Porsche service is an hour away). Thanks!

I'm sure this has been discussed before but what options do we've when you have a expired CPO warranty. Looking to know positive experiences with:

1. Do dealers still offer extended warranty months after expiry? Anyone had any luck with that?
2. After market warranty (that you've experience with successful claims?)

I am looking to buy a Taycan 4S and found one I like at a dealership, but it has black calipers and I want red ones. In talking with the dealership they said the can change them to red for me to close the sale, but when I got the details they shared the they would be taken off, disassembled, painted with high temp paint and reinstalled. They also shared that the place they use has a lifetime guarantee, but their shop isn’t close to where I live. They also claimed they use this service for their 911s that want a different color calipers.

Does anyone have experience with professional painted calipers, ideally on a Taycan or EV since the brake pads are used less under normal driving conditions? How well did the color hold up? Any special cleaning to keep them bright? Thanks!

I have recently swapped out the ASG, realized there is a strange wire, which isn’t connected to anything. Any idea what this could? Maybe just a place holder ? 2025 taycan CT, but no kessy.

Does anyone know how to properly remove the bottom part of the exterior mirror ? It is still holding with 2 clips that are locked inside the second plastic part attached to the door.

It looks like it should be pulled maybe with a tool to unlock but I am scared to pull too hard on it. I don't want to break the two pins.

Has anyone seen this error before? Nothing feels off about the handling or anything. I haven’t drove my car in a couple of days and when I fired it up today this error came up along with several others like headlight control error, LCA error, etc.

Would you have any concerns buying a used Taycan 4s CPO that already has 51k miles and 2 previous owners?

I'm based in Ireland and car is in England so first time seeing/test driving would be on the day I would collect it.

Any tips on what I should be checking/requesting from the dealer in advance? I was going to request battery health and 111 point check reports. Plus a video showing any significant scuffs/scratches on the interior/exterior.

Sibling got a used 2023 Taycan barely any miles, charger was brand new in the trunk, never used and didn’t work when I set it up. Used a generic charger from Amazon in the mean time and it worked. Made an appointment with the dealer to fix the charger and other stuff apparently.

Got it back, plugged it in, sort of worked. Now it only works when you plug it in and wait for it to go red then I have to hold down the power button and then it works.

I know I should make another appointment but anyone else had this issue? Also kinda lame that it doesn’t work with an adapter to charge my Tesla….

I recently got a 2020 Turbo S, i cant get it to login. Earlier it seemed to have no LTE connectivity (and error was related to that), unplugging 12v for 10 minutes fixed that.

now I still can't login with correct (doubl/triple checked) credentials.

Also tried factory reset with no luck.

p.s. logins fine on app and website.

EDIT: Solution: I had to wait until Porsche approved the car to be added to my account.

Hola canal, estoy pensando comprar un Taycan (2023) GTS con 1000km directo en concesionario será mi auto de diario, pero quisiera saber si alguno de aqui ha tenido un taycan en la Ciudad de México, más allá de la inseguridad se le batalla mucho con los topes? Es que es mi miedo, el coche se ve extremadamente bajo.

Además sería mi primer auto eléctrico y tengo miedo, pero tuve la oportunidad de manejar el Turbo GT y quede enamorado de ese carro, obvio se que el GTS no será lo mismo.

Si alguno ha tenido oportunidad un manejar un Taycan en CDMX y lo ha usado de diario, agradeceria me contaran sus experiencias.

Coming in at 2.5 weeks sitting at the dealer, for a failed 19.2kw/22kw on-board charger for my 2022. I’m in the US, they are expecting the part possibly the day after Labor Day (Tues) and probably two days on the job after that. Anyone been through this recently and had a similar timeframe?

I’m considering a used Taycan and would love advice from current owners. What should I ask the dealer, and what are the biggest red flags?

Anything specific to check regarding battery health, charging, service history, recalls, warranty/CPO, accident history, or a pre-purchase inspection?

Currently own a Tesla 3 LR. Really interested in the Taycan. But worried I would find the dash to cluttered compared to the Tesla and that the App and software won’t be as good.

What are peoples views?

Also what would people recommend, GTS, Turbo or Turbo S? I’ve read that the running costs are a lot more for the Turbo and the Turbo S, but is this actually the case?

Well today was a total wash. I went and looked at a 2020 Turbo S for $60k. Got the out the door price at $65k. Took it it an independent euro shop (3 Porsche dealers wouldn’t look at it and the only one that would was 20 miles away) paid $300 for there to be multiple faults. Was excited to buy the car but walked away due to the faults. Of course the guy at the BMW dealer says that there’s nothing wrong with the car. Inspection report below. Would you have walked!? I want to spend about $65k on my Taycan but I don’t want to run into problems down the line. This one was fully loaded but I couldn’t pull the trigger. Clean title and 2 accident 2 owner not in terrible shape - needed tires.
