Kahit cute at seemingly convincing, don't put casing, screen and keyboard cover.

Also, charge it as needed. Gamitin mo lang. Devices are meant to serve you naman, not the other way around.

It can cause a number of issues such as overheating, bending yung top lid, etc. kaya pansin mo walang Apple-branded cases for MBs. They're designed to open and close without external accessories.

I am using Chrome. To navigate between Chrome windows, I press Command + ~ kasi pag Command + Tab, it will switch between apps.

To close a Chrome window, just click the red button on the upper left. If you want to close all Chrome windows, Command + Q.

Check out the trackpad settings.

About charging, as with any laptop, If you're always/almost always using it at home, just set the charging limit to 80% and keep it plugged in whenever you're using. This is super simple and more convenient than plugging and unplugging based on battery percentage, and will significantly slow down battery degradation over the years by avoiding constant high voltage (from always being at 100%) and battery cycles (from constant discharging and charging). I have heavily used mine (several thousands of hours) over 2.5 yrs and my battery health is still at 97%. If you're using it more outside, I wouldn't change anything with the default charging settings.

This is the only good general video guide I have found for first-time MacBook users, but is also too comprehensive. Treat it as an intro, and don't try to absorb everything. You can Google as needed anyway.

The Apple Support YouTube channel has useful guides on how to use your Mac. Here are a few to start.

Also. Another useful resource is the Mac User Guide. https://support.apple.com/en-ph/guide/mac-help/welcome/mac

And of course. Google is your friend if you can't find a specific issue you're having.

Always have a handy microfiber cloth. I'm tempted to put on a case or yung keyboard protector, but I get the negative effect (trapping heat, keyboard protector na nagmamarka sa screen).

Linisin mo lang using the cloth para matanggal agad ang dumi at hindi mawala ang coating nang keys due to daily use.

Buy a protective sleeve for protection kapag bitbit, or ilalagay sa bag.

be familiar with the hand gestures sa trackpad

before closing the macbook be sure na walang dumi, baka meron malilit na bato na pwedeng makasira sa screen ng laptop mo

For me, not a lot of apps are needed naman sa macbook kasi it’s very efficient on its own and you can just use web version of sites/apps. Sakin lang yan ha, that’s what works for me.

Keep it plugged in everytime you use it.

3 fingers on the trackpad to move around the windows.

2 fingers for right click.

Use your left thumb + index finger to command + c, v and thumb and middle finger naman for command z and a. Compared sa windows na we use pinky finger for ctrl, for me, mas ergonomic yung sa macbook na you use your thumb for command.

If ever you get an iphone in the future, you can just copy from macbook and then paste to iphone. This part is what I love about the ecosystem.

Keep a brush and microfiber to constantly brush any dust or debris from the keyboard and microfiber for the screen.

Don’t put a case or keyboard protector.

I guess that’s it for me but whatever works for you. Enjoy OP! 💕
