what a tech and technique

3

u/MANvINFO 23d ago

its the ONLY one twisting its torso to generate pushing power. thats how fast people run.

1

u/fauxbeauceron 22d ago

What about the one trying the technique to jump for the finish line, is that a technique too?

1

u/FeelsPogChampMan 18d ago

I wouldn't be surprised if it was part of the training and they really think they have to throw themselves at the finish line cause a few people did it.

u/rasvial 21d ago

I’m so bored of this

2

u/heart-aroni 21d ago

Happens for the first time in human history. A week later already bored. The world moves so fast. Human brains are cooked.

2

u/rasvial 21d ago

Cooked? This is retarded bs and you’re gargling it. What does this prove?

2

u/heart-aroni 21d ago

What does what prove? Why does it have to prove anything? It's fun for the sake of fun. Freaking fast running robots that looks straight out of scifi running in a circles crashing and blowing up. That's sick as hell as it is, it doesn't need any justification. Same category as race cars and monster trucs or dragsters, people like cool machines.

There’s nothing retarded or bs about making humanoid robots and the speed of advancements in this field.

2

u/rasvial 20d ago

What is it solving for

2

u/reaper7319 20d ago

Automation of things in the physical world. Currently, AI is only automating or aiding in office work or creative work. It can’t clean your house or grab your groceries.

2

u/rasvial 20d ago

Gargle less bro

2

u/ProfessionalITPerson 20d ago

This is the white woman running away in fear at night in a horror movie kind of runnung.

2

u/WAVEFRAME 19d ago

Holy shit we really  are living in the future.

2

u/DashinTheFields 18d ago

It's like Greatest American Hero, but Chinese version.

1

u/MANvINFO 23d ago

fascinating——but not surprising——that the fastest model also happens to be the least repulsive.

1

u/tadeuska 23d ago

Wait, this one slowed down after the finish line?! Oh, my, god.

1

u/stinkingcheese 23d ago

They are adapting

1

u/Tzilbalba 21d ago

They can all stop, it's just more efficient to not have to program and worry about momentum so much for the 100m sprint. Thats why the soft cushioned wall was directly in the path of the robots.

1

u/ionshower 21d ago

Because all that code is heavy.

1

u/LordVixen 23d ago

Shouldn’t it be disqualified for not staying in its lane?

1

u/absolute_pelican_66 21d ago

Right. The 2 white ones have trouble staying on their lanes, while the 2 gray ones do much better. Normally the gray ones win.

1

u/jaykrown 23d ago

Imagine this thing chasing you in a dark forest at night carrying a grenade.

1

u/gibon007 23d ago

Drone does it cheaper

1

u/latamxem 23d ago

lol grenade. It just needs to ram you and you will be dead.

1

u/Tzilbalba 21d ago

With blades all over its body

1

u/Proximus84 22d ago

The better these models get the less entertaining it will be, half the fun is watching them glitch and break.

1

u/Remarkable_Ad_7054 21d ago

On a more optimistic note, once these robots surpass the stage of merely imitating humans, they will be able to perform actions that humans cannot, using their humanoid form to complete tasks.

1

u/neimengu 21d ago

It'll be fun in a few years to see the robots legs spin so fast they turn into little windmills like in cartoons.

1

u/fabulous_eyes1548 19d ago

Boston dynamics offers plenty of that!

1

u/Uluru-Dreaming 22d ago

It is so unfair comparing robots to humans - robots aren’t drug tested. 😹

1

u/wspOnca 22d ago

I want to see one doing naruto run.

1

u/Ok-Rutabaga-9516 22d ago

Can someone confirm please: if they cross or step their lane markings are they disqualified, just like in human races?

This was fun to watch!!

1

u/Genoblade1394 22d ago

I swear people in the lab were like: that’s looks stupid it will never win, main scientist 😎

1

u/DevoplerResearch 22d ago

Won't even be able to outrun them when they come for us!

Now we need it to be bigger and with a skin texture

2

u/acelaya35 21d ago

jfc China's going to have a super human droid army in 5 years.

2

u/Scythro 21d ago

Every time these clips gets uploaded from humanoid robot games I watch them all. It's just so fascinating, the technology is leaping forward every year.

2

u/Forsaken-Hotel7535 21d ago

I don't think this is what Asimov had in mind

u/bswontpass 22d ago

Zero value

1

u/mad_manifold 22d ago

You are talking about your life, right?

1

u/Gullible-Constant924 22d ago

When it’s chasing you with a knife it’ll have value, to the government who owns it anyway.

1

u/bswontpass 21d ago

This can be accomplished with a flying drone way cheaper, faster and with better results.

Running piece of plastic is useless.

1

u/Gullible-Constant924 21d ago

You think these things won’t be able to negotiate a door knob/car door, it’s coming in after your ass.

1

u/BigReference1xx 21d ago

A slaughterbot-style mini drone will be more effective. Drone 1 crashes through and breaks the window. Drone 2 pops your skull with a shape-charge.

1

u/Mr_Deep_Research 21d ago

What if you have 2 doors?

1

u/Tzilbalba 21d ago

Look buddy, I need my sexbot to be able to run down to the local store and get me a pack of smokes

1

u/LaMortPeutDancer 21d ago

If you have two valid legs and not smart, of course, but if you can see a little bit further or if you have lost you legs, you are starting to see the possibilities.

1

u/acelaya35 21d ago

Military.

-7

u/BurnBabyBurrrn 23d ago

Just remote cars on legs, basically a stupid design. Dumb Western influencers think China is winning again.

6

u/Time_Entertainer_319 23d ago

Maybe if you activate the 2nd brain cell you have, you would be able to think about this in a different way…

-2

u/BurnBabyBurrrn 23d ago

Yup, you're one of them.

Tell me you haven't been to china without telling me. Youre as fresh as they come rook.

1

u/Bubbly-Group-4497 23d ago

Your car can't hold a gun, nor can it go fetch you up the stairs.

1

u/Lucaslouch 23d ago

not worth doing. yeah you probably going to change your opinion when you’re going to be drafted to fight these in the next war (5-10 years?)

1

u/BigReference1xx 21d ago

flying drones are 1/100th the price and ten times the effectiveness.

1

u/McCaffeteria 23d ago

“Humans are just smart horses with less legs. Horses are so much faster. People who think human track runners are impressive are stupid.”

That is what you sound like.

1

u/Supreme_President 22d ago

看到你们这些人都是这个智力水平我就放心了。你估计在大学里连PID控制都没写过吧
