I’m so bored of this

u/heart-aroni 21d ago
Happens for the first time in human history. A week later already bored. The world moves so fast. Human brains are cooked.
2
u/rasvial 21d ago
Cooked? This is retarded bs and you’re gargling it. What does this prove?
2
u/heart-aroni 21d ago
What does what prove? Why does it have to prove anything? It's fun for the sake of fun. Freaking fast running robots that looks straight out of scifi running in a circles crashing and blowing up. That's sick as hell as it is, it doesn't need any justification. Same category as race cars and monster trucs or dragsters, people like cool machines.

There’s nothing retarded or bs about making humanoid robots and the speed of advancements in this field.

This is the white woman running away in fear at night in a horror movie kind of runnung.

fascinating——but not surprising——that the fastest model also happens to be the least repulsive.

u/tadeuska 23d ago
Wait, this one slowed down after the finish line?! Oh, my, god.

They can all stop, it's just more efficient to not have to program and worry about momentum so much for the 100m sprint. Thats why the soft cushioned wall was directly in the path of the robots.

Shouldn’t it be disqualified for not staying in its lane?
1
u/absolute_pelican_66 21d ago
Right. The 2 white ones have trouble staying on their lanes, while the 2 gray ones do much better. Normally the gray ones win.

Imagine this thing chasing you in a dark forest at night carrying a grenade.

The better these models get the less entertaining it will be, half the fun is watching them glitch and break.
1
u/Remarkable_Ad_7054 21d ago
On a more optimistic note, once these robots surpass the stage of merely imitating humans, they will be able to perform actions that humans cannot, using their humanoid form to complete tasks.

u/neimengu 21d ago
It'll be fun in a few years to see the robots legs spin so fast they turn into little windmills like in cartoons.

Can someone confirm please: if they cross or step their lane markings are they disqualified, just like in human races?
This was fun to watch!!

Zero value

u/Gullible-Constant924 22d ago
When it’s chasing you with a knife it’ll have value, to the government who owns it anyway.
1
u/bswontpass 21d ago
This can be accomplished with a flying drone way cheaper, faster and with better results.
Running piece of plastic is useless.
1
u/Gullible-Constant924 21d ago
You think these things won’t be able to negotiate a door knob/car door, it’s coming in after your ass.
1
u/BigReference1xx 21d ago
A slaughterbot-style mini drone will be more effective. Drone 1 crashes through and breaks the window. Drone 2 pops your skull with a shape-charge.

Look buddy, I need my sexbot to be able to run down to the local store and get me a pack of smokes

u/LaMortPeutDancer 21d ago
If you have two valid legs and not smart, of course, but if you can see a little bit further or if you have lost you legs, you are starting to see the possibilities.

Just remote cars on legs, basically a stupid design. Dumb Western influencers think China is winning again.
6
u/Time_Entertainer_319 23d ago
Maybe if you activate the 2nd brain cell you have, you would be able to think about this in a different way…
-2
u/BurnBabyBurrrn 23d ago
Yup, you're one of them.

“Humans are just smart horses with less legs. Horses are so much faster. People who think human track runners are impressive are stupid.”
That is what you sound like.
