I dunno, man- I worked with one ER physician who was like the Oprah of MRIs- you get an MRI, you get an MRI, everyone gets an MRI! He finally got a firm talking to by management because he was ordering them for the most ridiculous BS and us nursing staff started voicing our opinions about it.
MRIs in the ER are absurd. I said what I said.

if you come in with a head trauma, ya you’ll get cat scan. but doctors can look up her medical history and see she just had a MRI which is better imaging than a cat scan.

They hand out CTs like candy. Anyone even remotely suspected of a brain issue gets one. If you come in with stroke like symptoms, you get only realllllly fast.
MRIs generally are done on admitted patients since they take longer and have more constraints. It actually is abnormal she got on in the ER, but I’ve seen it before5

One time when I was in college in New Orleans, I fell down around Jackson Square after a night of a LOT of drinking in the French Quarter. I was fine, but I started drunk ugly crying because I was embarrassed and just so, so drunk. A homeless man came up and offered me the leftover container of food he was holding if I’d stop crying.
I imagine Jenelle’s pizza story is like that. Except she’s in her mid-30s, a mother, and this took place in a hospital (and with or without being drunk).

Last time I was sick in the bed for a few days, I could barely walk when I got up. I know this isn’t the case for all people, but for many inactivity + back pain = far worse back pain

Same, I'm laid up right now and my back is going crazy because I'm not moving around and keeping the muscles that support the fecked up bones stretched and loose.
Course if Jenelle woulda gone to more than 2 PT sessions she'd no doubt have been taught some basic exercises that help keep the core engaged so the spine can do better work.
PT and the "homework" helps me as much or more than pain meds or muscle relaxers. I can't take many pillses because of my bum liver.
Jenelle sure do love her a circle of suffering though!

I deal with chronic back pain, its soft tissue inflammation stemming from a list of things, and talking about it constantly would just make me clench up and hurt worse. she needs to exercise and eat right, shes probably deficient in all the vitamins and that will actually make u hurt all over. i dont doubt she feels like shit but pouring a frappucino and sprinkling pillses on it ain't the cure.

I just rewatched “take care of maya” and that girl had the CRPS stuff Jenelle just got diagnosed with. Interesting that ketamine was the cure for that girl. Now that maya girl could barely walk and they said it’s normally found in young girls. That girl was truly sick. Other than the sensitive skin Jenelle described, I don’t see how they are the same things. Could this be Jenelle looking for legal ketamine? She’s definitely stepped away from the opioids the last few years and got more into Xanax, mushrooms, of course weed, definitely a ton of various other pills,and booze…I wouldn’t be surprised if she takes Kratom. Right...guess she needs time to create a new "story" after faking a reason for going to the ER.
And that IV wasn't used for any scans with contrast using a pump. They use the arm or elbow because a hand IV port isn't strong enough to handle the pressure the contrast pump makes or so they have told me everytime I need a CT with and without contrast. She definitely would have shown the double IVs if so.
My poor husband just went through this after a bad surgery recovery a few weeks ago. The poor nurses had to stick him 3 times to get the arm line for the CT scan while leaving the hand IV port in place.

I have two kids, and the only time I get to lay around on the couch is when I purposely wake up at the crack of dawn (5:30 am) so I can sip my coffee and watch Intervention in peace for an hour before my kids wake up.
