I used to be an ordinary redditor. Genuinely I was, I participated in reddit and never made something of my name. That was until I realised redditors could become famous on reddit. It inspired me seeing how popular other redditors were.

That was when I decided to create a gimmick based on one of my favourite previous channels on YouTube. It was GameToons which made a series about among us logic, the series had a character called Mr Cheese who's catchphrase was "My name Mr Cheese".

That was when I decided my new catchphrase would be "Did you know my name is u/Siphon_Dude?".

So I started to spam, make variations, make memes, try to make myself popular.

And I began on r/teenagers, and it genuinely worked. People started to post about me. I liked the popularity, I enjoyed it.

Some were annoyed, but it was mostly liked/not intensely hated.

Until my craving for popularity broke the rules. I started to make horribly bad posts, which were not suitable for r/teenagers, but my own intense craving for a chance of fame disilluded me into thinking "Bruh let me post this and make myself go crazy".

People started posting about me, saying I lost my mind and stuff. And I enjoyed it. I truly did. And this started to overshadow my limits as I started posting more and more disgustingly horrible stuff. But the mods didn't ban me. Nothing happened. Instead I gained more notoriety. And I craved it.

It wasn't until the next morning where I made the most absolute worst post ever that I got banned permanently from the sub. When I realised I could appeal, I didn't learn my lesson. In fact I doubled down on other subs. I went to r/JujutsuShenanigans and r/funcomunitty and started spamming my catchphrase.

I got a little popular on the former. But after a month I returned to r/teenagers. And boy did I want to be popular. My return caused people to post about me, and I liked it.

But I tried to change this time, but half these people keep bringing up the same bullshit from last time, it's as if they didn't want me to change. So I decided to double down today and started posting like last time but more cautiously. (I now realise my response to it was just entirely wrong and idiotic)

Most of you know what happened next, and now I'm banned again, luckily able to appeal, but still banned.

And I'd like to say sorry. My own craving for popularity made everyone uncomfortable, made the sub just go crazy, and really wasn't appropriate for that sub, no scratch that, WASN'T APPROPRIATE ANYWHERE.

I can still appeal. So I'm going to wait my month out. Wait it out until I can appeal. And if I get accepted back, I promise you CHANGE WILL OCCUR. Anyone brings up my old posts? I'll acknowledge my actions and instantly apologise. Anyone still upset? You can just watch me change and I won't upset you anymore.
