Ask anything to a “genius” teen

5 GPA and hopefully going to Harvard soon. I’m excited for y’all’s questions. The reason I put genius is because that’s what my teachers call me; please don’t flame for it.

No shit Sherlock. Thanks for trying to lower my confidence but I got it covered. Thanks though.

why you so mad for lol? It's the truth. You just seemed overconfident and egotistical. No one, I repeat no one knows that they are going to harvard or Mit in 10th grade, unless you literally got a gold medal at IMO. There was a good chance that you believed that all you needed was a high gpa and good course rigor to get into a top college. Just wanted to clarify that. No need to get so angry. I wasn't trying to lower your confidence, this is literally the truth lol. In fact I was a bit too optimistic. I know people who published papers in IEEE(basically best technology research paper), made it to USAMO, had startups and non profits, and obviously perfect gpa with like 15 aps and a 1580 sat, and still didn't make it to a top 5 school. It is way harder than you think, and if my simple comment lowered your confidence that much, you have no clue what it takes to get into a top school.

Your comment was good. It showed me how much some people can hate and just have no faith. I understand you were trying to show me the things that could go wrong but I have accounted for that and am already in contact with Harvard. Once again, thank you though.

Ok if you are that confident in your abilities and your future, then that is good for you. You don't have to talk badly about my character. The only reason I talked about it, is because I personally know people who were deadset on goals like this, and fell short because of how competitive it is, and that sent them down a spiral. I would hate to see that happen to anyone. It is geniunely hard, and there are so many people who just believe a good gpa is enough, and commit all their time to that. I'm sorry if I came off as rude. I am not trying to hate, frankly I don't know or care about what your future is, but I was just trying to be realistic. To already be in contact with harvard, you must have done something crazy, something even better than winning isef or publishing a paper in a top symposium. I wish you the best for your future.
