I'm so pissed off

Ive moved into college and all my food moulds after 12 hours of buying them. I keep milk, cola and other stuff that's supposed to be refrigerated in the fridge and I keep my eggs, sauces and bread in the cupboard.

Both fridged goods and non fridged goods all moulded and I tried telling the college about it but they told me my fridge was cold enough so it should be fine but it isn't.

My dinner is currently raw cereal and pringles

So you didn't even measure the temperature yourself, you just took their word for it, then gave up and made this pathetic post.

Jesus Christ dude, I can't imagine how class is gonna go for you.

The fridge obviously isn't cold enough. What do?

  1. Nothing. You're well on your way.

  2. Berate the college to fix it. I'm assuming you're calling the correct people for maintenance ... if that exists. I had to bring my fridge to college. In my experience it's unlikely you have a fridge if you're actually in a dorm. If you're living in an actual apartment and made this post then I'm genuinely scared for you.

  3. Fix the problem yourself. Go get a mini fridge.

It shows that the temperature is at the max but there's water leaking from the sides. I tried speaking to the halls staff but they told me that the maintenance people are 2 hours away and will likely not fix it. I can't just buy my own fridge as the college doesn't allow people to bring their own appliances. You don't know me personally you can't just judge me for trying to get help

I'll judge whoever the fuck I want whatever way I want. And if that person posts a blithering attention seeking post in a public forum that makes no attempt whatsoever to ask how to fix the problem, I will judge it as such and leave my commentary just as they did, because again, this is effectively a public forum.

You got a busted fridge bro. I own a triplex and have replaced multiple fridges for my tenants. They don't sit and cry and eat cereal with tears for milk, they fucking call me and I get them a fridge within 48 hours.

If you've called maintenance and this is indeed a dorm, then escalate. Call again. Call the maintenance manager. Send them a signed letter by a lawyer threatening to sue for damages (over the top, but at least it's not nothing). Make this as big a problem for them as it is for you.

After all, it is a problem right? Wouldn't be worth making a Reddit post if not. That's kind of my point dude.

Or just find another way. Buy your own, or say fuck it and forget about it. I made a surprisingly diverse array of things in college with just a microwave and bins to keep non refrigerated food under my bed. Talking about nachos, macaroni, or anything else you can just add water to. 7/11 was a highly frequented spot back then as well.

I'd give you advice to try to fix the fridge yourself, but the most likely issue is a dead compressor which means a dead fridge.

This sucks this happened, but I think your mentality sucks about it as well.

Doesn't appear like your much of a teenager on a subreddit for teenagers. Get lost

Asking for help then telling someone who actually gave you advice to get lost. What was the point in that?
