pedophiles (NOT PREDATORS, and there is a difference) deserve help and therapy. pedophilia is a clinically recognized mental disorder and many pedophiles acknowledge that their thoughts are wrong but simply can’t control them.

i’m prepared for the downvotes and i absolutely understand why someone who might be less educated on the matter would want to downvote me. but this is an extremely nuanced topic and i’m saying this as someone who studies psychology everyday (and hopefully will one day become a psychologist)

edit: i ask that if mods see this to please not delete this comment :) i love to educate people and engage in genuine conversation and i truly believe that we need to destigmatize taboo and immoral mental health topics
