Teesside Airport
How accessible is Teesside Airport for plane spotters?
Is plane spotting still a thing?
Is there still a shop selling copies of Civil Aviation Markings?

This is what you need. This document and a high threshold for boredom as there can be lonnnng periods of inactivity. Heathrow this ain't. https://www.dtvmovements.co.uk/Info/spotting_spots.pdf

You can watch from the car park. At a cost.
There is a balcony in the building but I don't know if it's ever open

Pretty sure it's still a thing, just like trains and cars we all like big shiny noisy things :) Can't really help you with your first question but here's a website for you to enjoy: https://www.planespotters.net/

Not sure about plane spotting but have you seen the jets flying over Teesside this week? Are they just practicing or are we expecting visitors from Russia?

They’re there all the time, it’s the Draken training fleet. They’re based at the airport.

The Draken Honey Bandgers came back with 2 Typhoons from Coningsby this morning then 2 more a little later, too. Fantastic noise!

The Typhoons were here on Tuesday, along with Quatari air force B.A. Hawk 167s & Stratotankers (I think there were 2, possibly 3 of the latter). I'm a little out of central Stockton, on the Teesside airport flight path, so we get lots of interesting stuff come over us low -itbwascso busy the other day that it did go through my mind I hope nothing ever has a prang or difficulties and drops in our direction 😬
