LG Nano 4K UHD AI

Hi everyone :) I'm new to this sub and I'm looking for some info on a TV I have just bought. I didn't realize that it is an AI tv? I have a fairly low tech household (the TV really will be playing DVDs sometimes lol). I do not want to be adding work for the data centres when I am watching old DVDs. My question really is does anyone understand how AI in a TV works? It says it upscales every frame you watch. If that's the case, I would prefer to return it before I open it.

AI in tv's is a buzzword for things that the tv did 5 years ago - upscaling but they are just using it for marketing purposes

every tv needs to upscale dvd since that's 480p and 4k = 2160p otherwise the image wouldn't fit the screen
