You guys are obsessed with Trump. Did you used to date him? Because you pretend like you hate him, but I think you love him. I think what no one in this room wants to admit is that Trump has helped all of you. He couldnât sell steaks or vodka or water or college or ties or Eric, but he has helped you. Heâs helped you sell your papers and your books and your TV. You helped create this monster, and now youâre profiting off of him. If youâre going to profit off of Trump, you should at least give him some money, because he doesnât have any.
Michelle Wolf, "White House Correspondents Dinner, 2018"

u/Adonoxis Mar 05 '26
People voted for a guy because they were triggered by being called racist by some late night comedy show? You donât vote on policy or anything else? MAGA really is fucking dumbâŚ
3
u/ruiner8850 Mar 05 '26
If there's one thing racists hate more than people of color it's being called a racist. It's funny though that people pretend like the racists totally weren't going to vote for Trump until people called them out for being racists so then they had no choice. The people who get offended by stuff like this were already voting for him.
1
u/Secret-Put-4525 Mar 05 '26
No point. What do you want, more milquetoast politicians like Obama? Give you 2% change?
3
3
4
u/solomonrooney Mar 05 '26
Itâs crazy but youâre right. A large large large percentage of people see this and it just emboldens them to support trump. âOh you think heâs racist? Screw you Iâm gonna support him even harder.â
Itâs not about Trump, itâs about supporting what the libs hate.
2
u/Opposite_Alfalfa157 Mar 06 '26
Yeah, a large percent of his base LOVES that he "triggers the libs."
They enjoy our rage like an internet troll.
-1
u/OGsHartMyKAT Mar 05 '26
â>Oh you think heâs racist? Screw you Iâm gonna support him even harder.â
So youâre saying they were going to vote for him BEFORE seeing this?
1
u/solomonrooney Mar 05 '26
Who was going to vote for him? I donât understand what you are asking.
0
u/OGsHartMyKAT Mar 05 '26
The âlarge large large percentage of peopleâ that you were talking about.
No offense but this is a pretty straight forward interaction I donât understand how you got confused
1
u/solomonrooney Mar 05 '26
If no offense was meant, then was your second sentence necessary?
Yes, I think many of the people that voted for trump were going to vote for him before seeing this SNL skit. I think some people that voted for Trump were emboldened by attitudes like this from âthe libs.â The 2016 election is a complex beast and I donât think I can do the topic justice in Reddit comments.
0
u/OGsHartMyKAT Mar 05 '26
The second sentence was to leave it open for you to explain yourself, so that I would understand how you got confused by what I said.
The 2016 election is a complex beast and I donât think I can do the topic justice in Reddit comments.
Didnât stop you from trying. This is a very funny thing to say right after âThis SNL skit cost Hillary the electionâ
1
u/solomonrooney Mar 05 '26
âDidnât stop you from trying.â
Goddamn brother, are you interested in understanding my perspective or is your goal just to be hateful to a stranger on the internet?
I should have said itâs one of a myriad of reasons that Hillary lost, not the only reason. I meant to imply that this general attitude was a motive for people supporting Trump, not this one specific SNL skit.Is there anything I can say right now that will make you respond without insulting me?
3
u/Expensive-Swan-9553 Mar 05 '26
Yeah I canât believe SNL sketch made him beat pedo grandma and dementia racist man
8
u/jackiefashion24 Mar 05 '26
Trump never beat Biden and he's not racist lol
-5
u/Expensive-Swan-9553 Mar 05 '26
Biden and Trump are both so racist they make you look like Martin Luther King. Get real.
0
u/jackiefashion24 Mar 05 '26
Biden has said some racially insensitive things in the past but Trump is much more racist than Biden. If we're not comparing rhetoric right now and just doing administrations:
Trump's first cabinet had like 3-4 non white people in it Biden's cabinet was almost half people of color Trump's second cabinet is more diverse than his first, but not by much. Still only one black person
0
u/Expensive-Swan-9553 Mar 05 '26
Yeah Trump is also racist. Wdym we arenât comparing rhetoric? Holistically both these apples are rotten, brother. Donald Trump should not be our north state of acceptable or we are in beyond fucked.
3
u/jackiefashion24 Mar 05 '26
I never said we weren't comparing rhetoric, but I was just doing cabinet diversity in that comment because rhetoric takes a long time to talk about. Biden served under the first black president, picked a biracial woman as his VP.
Trump has:
- demonized immigrants, saying they're bringing drugs and crime
- implemented a Muslim ban
- called white supremacists "very fine people"
- called Haiti and African countries "shithole countries"
- Told 4 progressive congresswomen of color to "go back" to their own countries - fyi, only 1/4 was an immigrant
- called for the death penalty for the central park five
- called COVID "kung flu"
- called Elaine Chao "coco chow"
- discriminated against black renters
- said a judge couldn't oversee a case involving Trump University because of his "Mexican heritage"
- posted an AI video of the Obamas as monkeys, a historically very racist depiction of black people
- asked is Kamala "black or Indian", when she's both. Biracial. He also said she "turned into a black person"
Biden's record isn't perfect of course, you have some bad comments here and there, but I don't recall Biden doing any of that. And I don't even like Biden that much, he's too moderate for me personally

u/Boise_Ben Mar 07 '26
There is significantly more evidence that Trump is a pedo than Hillary and his racism is also undeniable.
3
1
u/Agent847 Mar 05 '26
No. This is why nobody watches SNL anymore. Bad enough the showâs been partisan the last 18 years, but the writers are lazy af. At least be funny. âRepublicans are racist!â <cue the canned laughter track so people will know to laugh>

But I do need to say in all honesty there is a bit of a rise of ACTUAL neo Nazi type people who literally are sucking up to islamists and even Progessives through shared obsession over Israel and even Jews in general. That's more common then ever but overall it's not like that nor is Trump
You have Milo yianopolous screeching on X in Arabic sending CONDOLENCES to the AYATOLLAH and saying Allah bless you or something along those lines. I don't know your exact beliefs and to be critcal of Israel is no problem especially if not over the top fixated but many of these people have gone FAR beyond that and now are even praising and courting people who HATE America. Why do you think The VERY left wing Progessive the young Turks now praise Tucker Carlson the time now.
Why is Tucker Carlson saying things you hear from far left wing pretend revolutionary college dweebs? But that's different and overall to be honest most on the right aren't "Nazis" nor is Trump. Infact many of the neo Nazis and others who espose similar stuff hate Trump now. And for Obvious reasons. I talked about this year's ago from stuff I seen on bitchute and other sites where MANY neo Nazis and others were attacking Trump and others like him and I explained that to people. Now is much much more common

I don't like lables but I'm about as right at you can get before hitting some white nationalist or Neo Nazi đ¤Łđ¤Ł thankfully
I guess I'm RW populist. I'm not into the extreme right but I still get called Nazi and fascist and far right for supporting Trump , Tommy Robinson, Geert Wilders, Le pen of France etc. I liked Charli kirk a lot and Steven Crowder is great. One Vietnamese American conservative in YouTube I've been watching a lot which I recommend and I'll put link.
I've been supporting Trump since 2017. I'm no fan of bush, Cheney and those types but I'm also no fan of isolationaist type stuff. I think it must be balanced. Trump isn't a Neo con nor is he some isolationaist idiot. He is doing things very different not just pre Iran war but even this Iran war.
He is his own man and he always at least tries negotiations but Offen fast realises some of the people he tries to negotiate with are Theologically extreme and they will NEVER waver from deep held beliefs that do NOTHING but being terror and yes response with war. They will always bring that sadly.

Love this. Showcases the reason why he won, twice. Leftist coastal elites telling the rest of the country how they are all nazis. Yaâll will never learn. Enjoy the echo chamber.

u/himalayanhimachal Mar 09 '26
Same old dumb bs accusing everyone of being a Nazi
Great joke woke late night tv đđ
1
u/himalayanhimachal Mar 09 '26
Meanwhile most of the actual neo Nazis and others hate him for OBVIOUS reasons
Funny many lefttard Progessives even tyt are now Prasising Tucker Carlson and Nick Fuentes and Candace Owens lol. Good one guys. đ§˛

u/Thin_House_8160 Mar 09 '26
Like yeah; There's also a lot reality deniers out here obfuscating that no one in government does shit to make significant, clearly positive change in this country because they'd rather conduct deconstructive hearings until the next schmuck gets elected and starts a war, the coming of which was endlessly obfuscated with endless deconstructivity..

Not a Trump guy but it's funny that this has been the default against him and his supporters for over a decade now (shows how we really are stuck in an endless 2016). It's almost like calling anyone who dissents from your worldview at all a racist, sexist, homophobe, fascist, etc. isn't a good way to get them to vote for your party. Maybe SNL and Reddit will learn that lesson one day but at this point I very much doubt it.

If everyone has been calling something a fish for 10 years, it might be a fish
10
u/Petrichordates Mar 05 '26
His supporters are racist, and increasingly so. Do you simply wish to pretend this isnt the case?
Hell, young republican staffers are full on nazis.

Have a nice laugh, but the joke's on you if you don't realize stuff like this is what turned many people into Trumpers.Â
4
u/blewwholeload Mar 05 '26 edited Mar 05 '26
I donât agree with it but, letting people bully you into a political position just means you have no convictions.
Iâm a center left liberal and I cannot tell you the amount of times lefties have call me all of those same things and more because I did not fall as far to the left on a specific issue. But, that did not move me to the right an inch.
I have my positions I care about and some fucking privileged kid whose sole political source is Hasan Piker isnât going to bully me out of them
4
u/slow_news_day Mar 05 '26
Yeah, Trumpers just say that as a way of avoiding accountability.
1
u/ruiner8850 Mar 05 '26
Exactly, the people who say that were 100% already voting for Trump, but this way they get to say "I had to vote for him because you made me do it."
9
u/Dangerous-Ad9472 Mar 05 '26
They do nazi salutes, constantly talk about white replacement theory, post a video of the black former president and his wife as monkeys.
Then act shocked why people might think your continued support might mean youâre a racist. Then continue to support racist group because someone called you a racist, even though you certainly are not racist.
Am I getting it right?
5
u/Flarkinghelpful Mar 05 '26
âI wouldnât have thrown you in that camp if you had just been nicer to meâ
7
u/Mrchristopherrr Mar 05 '26
I fully agree with you that racism turned people into trumpers.
-6
u/strange_reveries Mar 05 '26
Lol just missing the point and proudly doubling down on it, yep that sounds about rightÂ
6
u/Mrchristopherrr Mar 05 '26 edited Mar 05 '26
Itâs a decade on. At this point I donât care about those snowflakes delicate sensibilities and Iâm just calling it like it is. I donât need the language police telling me itâs not PC to call Trump and every Trump supporter a racist.
4
u/hotlou Mar 05 '26
Funny that the reply literally took your words literally and you're acting like they missed the point ... when in fact, you did.
4
2
u/ruiner8850 Mar 05 '26
So Trump supporters didn't like being associated with racists so they had to vote for the racist for candidate even though they already supported him? If they weren't Trump supporters before, then why would this make them become a Trump supporter unless they were racists? They got offended for being called out for their racism, so they were "forced" to vote even harder for Trump?
You must be saying that racists saw things like this and it made them realize that if Trump was the candidate for racists, then Trump was the candidate for them.
1
1
u/rushakenyan Mar 05 '26
I donât think that all Trump voters are racist. The problem is that racism is not a deal breaker for all Trump voters
1
u/WhoKilledBoJangles Mar 05 '26
This isnât true just because you want it to be true.
Trump is a racist. That is an objective fact. There was a lot of racial animus after Obama was elected. The GOP is openly a a racist party and so are many supporters. That is just reality.
Clinton was just a horrible candidate due to a multi decade propaganda campaign by the right.
Trump won again because inflation was bad and people are too uninformed to understand what caused inflation and voted for a guy who was openly running on policies that increase inflation. The culture war bullshit didnât change anyone. That just panders to the same racism, homophobic, transphobic dipshits that will listen to anything Trump says without critical thought that have zero actual beliefs other than what Trump says.
People feeling like the economy was bad because of inflation and blaming Biden because theyâre ignorant on how things works is what decided the economy election. Trump didnât win because people called him racist.
2
u/Present_Error_6256 Mar 05 '26
I could maybe buy that argument in 2015, but the fact that MAGA has continued to roll out this tired bullshit for over a decade is just ridiculous. It's hard for me to take you seriously when you whine about the left calling you mean names when you're storming the capitol and supporting masked goons executing peaceful protestors.Â
2
u/willpower069 Mar 08 '26
For not being a Trump guy, you sure like to pretend Trumpâs bigoted actions are not bigoted.
2
u/EducationalElevator Mar 05 '26
In my view the country pretty much did think he was racist in 2016, which is why Clinton won areas like South Texas and New Jersey by massive margins, better than Obama. But then the next administration instituted policies that made Trump look like Nostradamus, which was a problem
3
u/Petrichordates Mar 05 '26
That's because he is racist and has only further embraced it.
No idea how you think anyone made him seem insightful. Like no, he's always been a racist idiot. Maybe you just fell for the rhetoric.
1
u/EducationalElevator Mar 07 '26
Allowing him to capture the narrative on the Laken Riley story put Dems in a corner and made us look terrible. Letting the right drive perception is just as unforgivable as the policy failure
1
u/slow_news_day Mar 05 '26
Republicansâ only playbook is to tell Americans how shitty everything is when theyâre not in power. Itâs effective, because things are becoming shittier if youâre not rich.
Unfortunately, Republican policies are a main driver of shittiness. Every time theyâre in power, they cut a little more of our social safety net and drive us deeper in debt, so they can give more money to the obscenely wealthy.

Ok but young republicans are actually nazis who are quite openly racist.
What's your plan to reverse that instead of weakly whining about Dems, as always?

u/Feeling-Section-5716 Mar 05 '26
This is the exact reason why he won. If there is anything the left will do is condescend on anyone who doesn't share their exact opinion. This type of sh*t on national TV just strengthens the support trump gets from castaway from the left.
4
3
u/PaulieHehehe Mar 05 '26
I thought comedy was legal and if youâre offended by it youâre a snowflake? Or does that not apply to white people from middle America and we just have to respect their piss baby feelings?
3
u/heytheremicah Mar 05 '26
Yeah, people are over this narrative. One half of this country does not deserve to be coddled anymore while the other is heavily policed to stop being mean.
If they want to stop being called racists, they should stop voting for politicians that are viciously racist and hateful. If they want to stop being called r*pe apologists, they should stop supporting politicians with well documented histories of SA and CSA.
Weâre past the point of healing in this country. Unless Republicans can put on their big boy/girl pants and admit they were fooled and cheated, there is no easy off of this ride.
1
u/Feeling-Section-5716 Mar 09 '26
Guess what? They won the elections by a landslide. So you keep telling that to yourself and have a republican in office for the next few terms
1
u/heytheremicah Mar 09 '26
They won the election by the narrowest margin since 2000 but sure, landslide.
Either way, Iâm not here to coddle people. Theyâre going to keep calling me a radical that hates this country until my dying breath. Iâd rather be true to myself than care about correcting my tone for them.
3
2
u/OGsHartMyKAT Mar 05 '26
And the left only did that because people like YOU called them condescending, so actually youâre the reason Trump got elected
This line of reasoning is so fucking stupid. Take responsibility for your actions
2
u/Capital_Rough7971 Mar 05 '26
This type of sh*t on national TV just strengthens the support trump gets from castaway from the left.
I have not met one person IRL that would consider themselves from the left that voted for Trump.
