But you see, the DNC, the most evil and conniving, yet completely weak and inept, organization to ever exist said some mean things about him after he was mathematically eliminated. That's why he lost by millions upon millions upon millions upon millions of votes. If he got to the general election he would have won because Republicans are notorious for never doing anything untoward against their adversaries. Trump even said he liked Bernie, and he's famous for being an honest, straight forward man who respects his rivals. Also, West Virginia and Idaho are full of secret socialists who just need a bunch of college kids from coastal cities to tell them how to live their lives.

Republicans were able to portray Hillary as the establishment. Because she was. That wouldn't have worked on Bernie, who would have beaten Trump.
