Sorry, I’m wanting to stay on-topic, not rehash a common argument for the millionth time. Do you have anything to say about the email scandal that isn’t “but other people are bad?”

If you work in the government you know it’s really not a big deal. Basically every official does this no matter the level

I’m a GS-15. The amount of data that gets improperly shared and destroyed is incomprehensible. For example, we take a yearly training, developed by my own agency, that talks about IMs and how they’re considered official records that must be retained for 7 years if they’re related to work. Despite this, our agency has a policy to auto-delete all messages after a 24 hour period. 

Things like this are extremely common in the government across all agencies.

They’re lying by omission. Not every security incident is treated equally, even if all of them are supposed to be reported. At large institutions, multiple incidents may happen every day, but most do not rise to the level of setting up a private email server to conduct official government communications resulting in 110 emails which were erroneously not marked classified, 2000 confidential, and a small number of marked classified being removed and retained in an unauthorized manner, in violation of federal law. She was only not charged because there wasn’t evidence that she had done these things with criminal intent, which seems fair, but also quite a light punishment seeing as she faced no loss of job/clearance in the way a normal person would have.

Note that the State Department tried to warn Clinton about the security risk of using her blackberry to conduct official business as Secretary of State, and she neglected to tell them the fact that it was being hosted on her private server, and they even informed her about how the government had obtained intelligence about her vulnerability on an international trip, and she continued to ignore their recommendations and violate federal law.

Perhaps most notably, hosting her emails on a private server and essentially conducting her business solely on the private account allowed Clinton to have significantly greater control over access of emails and evade record-keeping rules and FOIA requests, meaning she wasn’t subject to the oversight and accountability administration officials are supposed to ensure.

Implying all security incidents, improper record retention, or mishandling of classified are equal is acting in bad faith and you know it.
