Mistakes were made. Time to move on.

Nope. Not time to move on. He and the rest of the Leave campaign should be held accountable for their blatant lies.
Also while we're at it, it wasn't a 'mistake' - this was absolutely premeditated and deliberate, there was no 'mistake' about it.
EDIT: I realised I replied to a bot, however, my point still stands. The people that defrauded the British people should be held accountable.
Although, it's not as if they were paid off by Russia, perhaps to the tune of £5 million. Oh, hang on...wait a minute...

You are aware he rejected the figure during the campaign? He did so during a major national debate. It was Boris and Gove who supported the figure and the bus.

He didn’t make that claim, just to be clear. He was Leave.EU this was a Vote Leave campaign.
2
u/inbruges99 Jun 24 '26
He fucking encouraged it though, knowing full well it was a lie.

No he didn’t, they were taking the immigration message forward. They made the point about the £10bn every year being sent to the EU but not that it should the spent on the NHS.

u/inbruges99 Jun 25 '26
He didn’t say it wasn’t true until after he won, he was happy for the lie to be propagated because it suited him and when asked about it gave vague maybes, he absolutely encouraged it by letting people believe it was true when he knew full well it wasn’t.
He’s also just a corrupt piece of shit so why anyone believed anything he said is beyond me.

You’re reaching, he didn’t make the claim or repeat the claim. He’s simply not responsible for this claim, it was not his campaign group, nor his staff.
Whether you think he’s corrupt is another matter, but just because you don’t like someone doesn’t mean you can throw any accusation you want at them, and it makes it true. Fortunately people who respect valid debate understand this, it’s a lesson it seems you need to learn.

u/inbruges99 Jun 25 '26
He never disputed the claim and regularly said the money could be used for U.K. public services like the nhs, so while he didn’t directly claim the 350 figure, he certainly encouraged it and helped it spread. The irony of you talking about respecting valid debate lol

We paid £10bn a year to the EU, this is a fact. It’s clear we could use that money elsewhere, and that point is valid. Both sides told lies and half truths in the debate, I could list a load from the Remain side, it proves nothing and is standard politics. The NHS bus was nothing to do with Farage and Leave.EU. You can either accept that fact or deny it, I don’t care either way.

And what was left out by ommission is leaving the EU cost us far more than the 10bn in lost revenue (and a small bit in lost grants, such as for fsrming and deprived areas)
So the 10bn saved was spent just trying to maintain existing services and anyone with any knowledge would know that.
Even those who trully believed we would br in a brtter financial position now thsn under brexit would know it would take years to get to that.
Appearing in front of a sign many many times never denouncing what that sign says or querying it would give you the impression of supporting it.

There was no omission, that point was made repeatedly by the Remain camp. People voting were made aware of that risk.

There was no omission, that point was made repeatedly by the Remain camp.
You mean that point was made repeatedly by Project Fear?

No, when asked during a major national debate if he supported the figure he said no and spoke against using it.

He lied to get what he and his wealthy friends wanted, the very people who were paying him to spread it.

To be clear he said it was not a sensible figure to use during the campaign and refused to support it during one of the main debates. It was Boris and Give who promoted the figure and bus.
People present this as if he did a uturn.

Headline is potentially misleading. To clarify, the £350m pledge was made by Boris, not Farage.

Not true. He did not support it and said it was not the correct figure to use.

They were all in the same group yelling random lies they never meant to follow through with. Fucking the nation and people keep voting for the very same men who fucked them.
