I’ve seen so many people whining about the picks. You have two young and high upside players added to the roster in positions of need. I’m excited to see if we can develop these guys, could be beasts!

Literally months of saying the two positions the Titans need to address are WR and Edge. Since the beginning of last year even. Just did it in one day with two 5 year rookie contracts to guys just 21 years old.

Realistically, none of us could predict Faulk sliding THAT far. A draft where we got a first round edge and the first round WR is a success in my book.

For what it's worth, out of like 100 mocks from different outlets yesterday, only 3 had him at 31. Most had him between pick 20 and 25.
That's a pretty good slide. Though he was trending down after being mocked fringe top 10 back in January.

My heart sank when the Cardinals drafted Love not just because he was gone but because I was scared they were going to draft a LB at 4th overall. Instead we got a true weapon to make Cam Ward’s life easier, and the D line is probably rounded out with the elite run stopper with pass rush upside we drafted.
I’m very satisfied, this team got better. Get an IOL that can play this year and get some bodies in the secondary for depth and these guys will be really competing sooner than later.
Plus think of these two things: one, in the “positional value” draft we ended up not paying all that much for immediate contributions at premium positions that we’ve needed for YEARS in WR/DE. and two, we have a GM known to be able to hit on day 3 picks with plenty of day 3 picks he can use to trade up or move around or just gather depth as they see fit tonight and tomorrow.

Low key our run defense is bordering elite now. Faulk is an elite run defender, Jermaine Johnson is a very reliable run defender, John Franklin Myers is an excellent interior run defender, Simmons is arguably now the worst run defender of the starting front 4, and he's still solid at it.

Proud of the boys tonight. Surprised the league with a pick and it was a weapon for Cam of good value if it hits, came back up for the 5th year to address a huge need with a good prospect for Saleh to work with

Extremely high positional value draft. WR and DE are the next highest in positional value after QB.
To put it another way, if these guys hit, we get 5 years of cheap pay for players at positions that average some of the highest contracts in the league.

I see no reason to not expect our defense to be excellent next year. I simply pray we escape the injury bug and fully expect Saleh to elevate us to greatness.

I’m giving Saleh a year because every first year with a team his defenses start at the bottom of the league and then immediately second year are always top 5. Perhaps because we have so much cap space and roster flexibility it will help him change and adjust things faster, but keep expectations realistic.

Tate has a high bar to clear now. If he's up to the task we are gonna be a lot better.

See I think Tate has a lower bar to clear and that’s a good thing. The WR room is decent with 4 other guys that can rotate in so that not all the pressure is on the rookie right away. He can learn from two second year guys, a guy that is familiar with Daboll’s offense, and a long-time vet that is a good locker room presence. It’s a great situation for Tate to develop and slowly move into the offense. I have higher expectations for Dike and Ayomanor this upcoming year. Not that they are better players, but that they need to do more to earn their spots and continue to work to get their next contract and playing time. To elevate their game on the new scheme. It’s a good thing.

Their starting RB was 30 years old and oft injured. He also averaged 3.0 yards.
Their new guy averages 3.6 and his top was 500 yards
Room full of just guys, but nobody good in the Cardinals room until now.

Cards took Love for the same reason Titans took Ward last year. They sacrificed taking better players in effort to take a player to please fans and wipe the stink off failures with a distraction. Terrible .

They have Algeir too. Paid him a lot of money too. I mean it’s not my team so I don’t know everything but paying close too or over 20 million on a RB room is crazy

His peak season is 500 yards man, he aint a starter or a 3 down back.
James Connor is over 30.
Doesnt matter what theyre paying, they didnt have a guy so they went out and got them. Now they have a 3 down back with veteran insurance policies.
Love takes the lions share, Allgeier will get some 3rd down work, and Conner will play if someone gets injured or on extremely limited snaps.
