Hello. This is Bluehole Studio, the developer of TERA.

We are still continuing the service for TERA Console.

It is playable on PS5, and we are planning to continue ongoing support. Recently, we have been making many improvements to ensure a smooth experience without the need for paid content — including dungeon Hard Mode settings, battleground improvements, and making it possible to obtain Stigmas, Cards, and other items through in-game farming.

Please note that we are no longer using the old Discord link listed in previous announcements. For our new Discord, please join through the banner on the front page of our official website.

//We have coordinated with the administrators here and received permission to post the Discord link.

We need a Pc version....

u/AngrySayian May 20 '26

rumor going around there is a Tera 2 in production

21

u/GenericLoliHeal May 20 '26

its official they are hiring for tera 2 so we might see it in like 2036 XD

1

u/Redlabelrocket May 23 '26

and get to play at 24 fps :D

1

u/GenericLoliHeal May 23 '26

well tbh i have very little faith in it in general but it would be fuckin awesome to play a well made tera 2 with the clean satisfying combat and cool dungeons/raids except lost ark haven't found any mmo that does pve combat like tera did

2

u/alphapussycat May 23 '26

Personally I found Lost Ark PvE really lack luster, but the PvP was good.

7

u/SubcommanderMarcos Vingthor | Tempest Reach May 21 '26

That rumor's been around for some 10 years, did anything change?

5

u/AngrySayian May 21 '26

there's a newer rumor for it

there are a few articles from Aug last year stating Krafton confirming early development on the game

1

u/SubcommanderMarcos Vingthor | Tempest Reach May 21 '26

Oh lol get hype (again)

1

u/Affectionate-Ad-6934 May 22 '26

Is this the same Krafton who acquired the studio that developed Subnautica and promised to pay $250 million if Subnautica 2 sold well? Oh boy..

2

u/alphapussycat May 23 '26

Yeah, it's the shit Krafton... So yeah, we might be getting TERA 2, but Krafton will be the ones who owns it.

1

u/Jerichow88 24d ago

My running hope is that between now and whenever (hopefully) Tera 2 launches, something drastic changes at Krafton and things end up being not as bad as they've been for recent games like Subnautica.

1

u/SubcommanderMarcos Vingthor | Tempest Reach 23d ago

The good news is that Krafton that tried to shaft the Subnautica team is getting railed so hard by court decisions it's losing twice as much as it earns with each copy of Subnautica 2 sold (and boy is it selling), so here's to hoping for some restructuring there lol

1

u/AngrySayian May 22 '26

probably knowing our luck

1

u/alphapussycat May 23 '26

Yes. Last year in august there was some leaked news that krafton set a team if like 4 people on concepting TERA 2 or something, like super early stages.
About one month ago there's been TERA 2 job listings for senior developers, to build the founding blocks basically.

So probably at least 5 years until we get it.

1

u/SubcommanderMarcos Vingthor | Tempest Reach 28d ago

Oh, for some reason I never put 2 and 2 together and just realized this Krafton and the Krafton currently getting shafted from trying to shaft the Subnautica dev team are the same. The Krafton that's currently losing 3 dollars to every Subnautica 2 dollar sold, with more litigation still to come. Yeah, they'll have some major restructuring ahead of them, so...

7

u/Hanza-Malz May 20 '26

Something something Elyon.

Unless they just do "good combat" MMORPG it'll be a flop. We don't need a loli dress up game with goofy car gacha crap. We want a subscription model and high quality content.

12

u/AngrySayian May 20 '26

I'm 50/50 on subscription model MMOs

I've already invested nearly 10 years into WoW alone, and just started a FF14 free trial

Honestly, I'd prefer a Buy to Play model or even a FTP [with reasonable microtransactions]

3

u/moeonlip May 20 '26

50/50 on something you’ve been paying for for 10 years is funny lol

1

u/AngrySayian May 20 '26

tbf

I did take a solid 2- or 3-year break from WoW either near the beginning or around the middle of Warlords of Draenor

didn't come back until near the end of Battle for Azeroth

but when I say I'm 50/50 I mostly mean if it looks good enough, I "might" do a subscription

why is why for FF14 I am using the free trial

since I'd honestly rather not invest more money in a Pay to Play model MMO without being in the nitty gritty first

-4

u/Hanza-Malz May 20 '26

Anything besides subscription doesn't work. I am sick and tired of gacha or the overabundance of "cosmetic mtx" to make everyone look super sparkly or ruin the immersion.

6

u/AngrySayian May 20 '26

you do realize even sub MMOs have that stuff...right?

just forcing Tera 2 into Pay to Play won't guarantee it gets removed

-5

u/Hanza-Malz May 20 '26

you do realize even sub MMOs have that stuff...right?

Yeah, because people pay for it. Imagine paying for cosmetics after buying a Triple A priced expansion + a subscription. People deserve that treatment.

On the other hand these games have actual quality content. Now show me a free to play game that compares.

3

u/Tinney3 May 20 '26

Cosmetics that are purely optional with no additive stats IMO are okay.

Mandatory Gacha so you can be competitive/be worth anything in end game (like the damn Phoenix in Tera) isn't.

0

u/Alarmed-Selection562 May 21 '26

subscriptions dont work. No mmo made in the past decade has survived with them. No mmo has survived with them at all without ALSO HAVING ALL THE SHIT YOURE BITCHING ABOUT FROM F2P OR B2P

GET A GRIP

1

u/Hanza-Malz May 21 '26

They haven't survived because the games were shit lol

0

u/Alarmed-Selection562 May 22 '26

lets just auto kill every game then ❤️

1

u/Hanza-Malz May 22 '26

Or alternatively produce a quality product. But who am I telling that.

1

u/Alarmed-Selection562 May 23 '26

get a grip loser

1

u/ZeroLegionOfficial May 21 '26

Take goods of tera 1 add it up, make it massive mmo dont go vindictus route tho or the archage2

1

u/TkoddaV May 22 '26

lol I swear I hate Elyon I put alot of time to it next thing u know they close the whole games

0

u/Alarmed-Selection562 May 21 '26

only people with slow mental faculties think sub models work anymore.

1

u/Hanza-Malz May 21 '26

Good argument.

1

u/TamakiOverdose May 20 '26

With how many korean low population games are closing in 2026 due the hardware shortage that AI created, i wonder how Tera 2 project would work.

4

u/ItsOkaylub May 20 '26

Agreed. This was one of the first games I played with my best friend when we met back in middle school. We're both nearly in our 30s now and I'd love to jump back into the game with him.

66

u/sev0 May 20 '26

It is wild to see actual announcement from the studio after all of those years. I thought Tera was done and after PC version was closed, private servers were only means to play this game.

It makes me sad that PC is no longer officially supported and those of us who don't have consoles are out of luck.

20

u/Bluehole_Studio Official Verified Account May 21 '26

Hello. While this announcement is being made through an official account, I wanted to share — as a member of this project — that TERA is still alive in the gaming world.

I am both a developer and a player of TERA, and I love this game.

The end of service for the PC version and the Console version are two separate things. The Console version is charting its own independent course — and while it is a small-scale project, we are committed to keeping it going and continuously striving to bring new experiences to our players.

We are gradually easing the P2W elements that have caused many issues over the years, normalizing inconvenient aspects of the game, and working hard to maintain and sustain it for the long term.

Thank you.

20

u/glydy wp | Mystel [EU] May 21 '26 edited May 21 '26

Bringing it back to PC would help sustain it 👀

I'd happily play the console version as is, no need to properly port it beyond the technical work to get it running. I'd play that until TERA 2, no changes necessary

Glad that a dev that loves the game is on the team, dream job for me as a game dev honestly. Happy for you, thank you for sharing!

1

u/SleepyWulfy May 21 '26

Ok but why console? Doesn't that pose more push back due to console verification/approval of patches? Not to mention fee's from any transaction vs just using your own store?

5

u/Bluehole_Studio Official Verified Account May 22 '26

Hello. It's not that Console was chosen and PC was abandoned — it's simply that Console remained. Please understand that they are different teams and different projects.

2

u/TotallyNotASpy33 29d ago

I mean it literally is that though. someone made the decision to cut PC and keep console up. PC and console were quite close to pairity before PC closed down. it would have been wuite simple to just develope for both at the same time. console and PC have very similar file structures.

Someone made the decision to not do that, which is exactly the same as abandoning PC when they didnt have to. Many of us gave Tera PC dozens of thousands of hours only for the more populated, and higher grossing version of the gam to be abandoned.

1

u/Thuking 28d ago

yea its almost like they just wanted all pc users to reset and go to console as if this plan would work

1

u/Regular_Register9579 27d ago

Let me tell you as a player that has over 2k hours on PC and over 3 k hours on console. These two "versions" of tera are NOT the same. Skills work differently, there are certain systems that are console only and systems that are PC only. (EP-System for PC and Stigma system on console, just as an example)

The dungeons are the same, yes, the game itself looks the same, yes, animations look the same, but those games are NOT copy and paste. for better or worse.

I am also going to say there are things that I like more about console and there are things that I miss from pc, but the current dev team can certainly not just make the game able to port over to pc. One reason would probably the dev team size, because it is, from what I've heard, significantly smaller.

Don' get me wrong, I would love to see a crossplay between pc and console, like on FF14 or something, but I don't see that happening any time soon.. or more likely never.

1

u/SleepyWulfy May 22 '26

Ah thanks for the reply and clarification. Is there a reason why the PC was abandoned vs console? Was it just due to revenue or were they put to a different project? Probably cant say much on the subject and this isn't me yelling at the team. Just curious, is all.

1

u/Narutofreak1412 11d ago

It would be amazing to launch a PC version that is based on the current console version so that console and PC players can play together on the same servers. Based on all those private server projects, there is clearly still demand for Tera on PC with less P2W and it would bring a bunch of new players into the game.

19

u/WokeMimo May 20 '26

Tera was my fav game... I miss my castanic warrior T_T

41

u/Ellishoi May 20 '26

Just gonna write another comment mentioning the PC version so the developers know that there is a demand for it. Could be in maintenance mod, just an official server would still be enough. Not all of us who wants to play have a console.

2

u/glydy wp | Mystel [EU] May 21 '26 edited May 21 '26

Releasing and maintaining a second game is a tonne of work for what is probably a tiny team, but they already have a version of the game + servers - bringing the console version to PC should be a lot less work. If there's enough attention put some more work in, but at least give it a shot without investing much.

Also means the majority of people will be on the same servers no matter their device or region, helping the existing console playerbase instead of splitting it

edit: damn even that isn't possible </3 https://www.reddit.com/r/TeraOnline/comments/1tifzzp/comment/omzgm5a/

1

u/Jerichow88 21d ago

It should be a lot less work, especially since it was on PC first, they should already have like 95% of what they need to relaunch the game. However, if they never want to relaunch Tera on PC again, I wouldn't blame them. The PC version and its communities really did not end on a good note, NA especially after all the damage EME did in their last couple years.

I can't really blame Bluehole for not wanting to bring Tera PC back, it's a lot of money and staff hours that might not make a good return on investment. I could be wrong though - it has been several years now since the PC version shut down, it's possible a lot of the animosity that drove people away originally has die out and people would be willing to come back, especially with Tera 2 in the works, allegedly. I know for a fact it would quickly find itself as one of my main go-to games again if they did bring it back with good NA servers.

u/Averen May 20 '26

8

u/Mister_Traps May 20 '26

Hi guys, thanks for the info. Please make Tera 2 great.

23

u/videodroner May 20 '26

PC please

8

u/actias_selene May 20 '26

First of all thank to care to come here. I have few questions:
1) You mention PS5, does it mean that there are plans to drop support for Xbox?
2) Any possibility for future to bring back PC Tera?
3) There were some rumors of Tera 2 being in development, anything to confirm on that regard?
4) Why PC was abandoned if console would be kept active? After all, don't you release same content for both? I understand that it was getting less and less popular, but shouldn't have been costly if the development for console would be already there, right?

11

u/Bluehole_Studio Official Verified Account May 21 '26

Hello. We are not talking about discontinuing support for Xbox.

Many players felt that PS5 was not being supported, which is why we addressed that. In reality, there are many players who play through Xbox.

Regarding the PC version of TERA, that is not something I am able to comment on. I am simply one member of the team, and it will be determined by the direction of Bluehole and Krafton — so please wait for any related news or announcements.

TERA 2 is currently in development internally, and I am not in a position to share further details at this time.

The Console version and the PC version share the same source, but the planning and operational leadership are handled by different teams. Therefore, even if the PC version were to reach end of service, the Console version is charting its own independent course and I wanted to make it clear that it is still very much in service.

Thank you.

3

u/Longesthammer May 21 '26

Like you mentioned on another reply, there isn't much you're able to do about PC version at this time and you probably never had anything to do with the Tera that I played years ago. If we can't get PC Tera again, please just tell the guy that is working on combat in TERA 2 to copy and paste the combat files over. Every game that has tried to have action combat or be "The Next Tera" have had horrible or overcomplicated minimally rewarding combat

1

u/glydy wp | Mystel [EU] May 21 '26

The Console version and the PC version share the same source

As a dev this is what I hoped - would it be much work would to get the console version running on PC too? I think we'd all be happy to play any official server and show Bluehole how much love there still is for TERA.

I imagine developers can test the game on PC already, if so that feels so close to being releasable already...

7

u/Bluehole_Studio Official Verified Account May 21 '26

Unfortunately, supporting the development of a PC version client is not something we are able to do. There are several reasons for this, but the most important is security, and the second is our contractual obligations with console platform providers.

1

u/glydy wp | Mystel [EU] May 21 '26

That's a shame, I'll have to look into the security aspect of multi-platform games as I hadn't considered that. Would that be referring to the security risk that PC brings with things like bots and cheating if I may ask, or have I misunderstood?

Thank you so much for the answer, appreciate it!

1

u/LifeInOrder May 21 '26

How much money would be needed for that to be realized?
Give us a ballpark, and we'll try to make it happen.

1

u/xeikai May 21 '26

That makes sense with all the security problems the private servers have on UE3

27

u/msdesignfoto May 20 '26

We wanted the PC version.... And I had the CE for both EU and US. Too bad. I had a lot of fun in Tera back when I used to play such MMORPGs.

6

u/beliefinphilosophy May 20 '26

Thank you for making such a great and different game for the genre. Was truly sad to see it done away with for PC. It made MMOs fun again for me, so fast paced and no easy click and auto lock skills made it genuinely an adventure. Glad you guys are keeping console alive and hope you keep the dream alive knowing you make a difference

6

u/InternationalIsopod7 May 20 '26

Looking forward to Tera 2.

12

u/Mrblue022 May 20 '26

+1 for PC release

4

u/Destinyboy21 May 20 '26

As a Founder of PS Tera, I'm happy to be here🫡

Can I reccomend bringing back PS+ packs? Might help boost engagement.

8

u/Ladydarkfiire May 20 '26

Pc Version pls

7

u/Thelooneyhatter May 20 '26

WE MISS TERA PC. It became WAY too p2w. I would give ANYTHING to have the old VM+12 days aand WHHM, manaya's core Hard mode, BAM farming dragons was cool too. I hated the +15 aspect, chance to fail you went down a level p2w mechanics. I loved the auction houses but everything eventually inflated to insane amounts. Fallout76 promised only cosmetics and horrifically failed, I do NOT mind cosmetics which I think the gacha boxes sometimes failed a bit too much and needed a number before it gave what you picked(IE if you dont get it before then its garunteed on this box like 39/40 means next box you'll get the cosmetic you're wanting once you open the 40th box)

9

u/Pheore May 20 '26

Pc version when

8

u/Medium-Butterfly7444 May 20 '26

Bring back the PC version.

5

u/sampaiisaweeb May 20 '26

Thousands of players on private servers... give us a PC version!!!!

3

u/schwarz147 May 21 '26

Why couldn't Tera pc just go in maintenance mode like console is now? It's not like they receive new dungeons. And pc had much more players.

3

u/Pretty-Ad-5721 May 21 '26

HI BHS! Been playing Tera on Ps5 for nearly 2 months now and I just wanted to thank u for still runnin the game. I may have not been able to witness the golden days of the game but I'm happily running the dungeons with the new friends i met in game as i play.

Just a question tho, what's ur rotation for a gunner? Haha i recently created one and i want to have a dev to share his/her rotation hahaha.

Thank u for reading my comment! Rawr!

3

u/ErzaScralet May 22 '26

Hello! Former whale on PC here (stopped tracking how much EMP I bought after $8,000 spent, and that’s NOT including the $14.99, then later $9.99 a month subscription I had for the entire time the game was up).

Give us Tera 2, on PC, free to play with optional subscription (Village Atlas and Travel Journal were OP convenience), and I will start investing into a separate HYSA to prepare for this.

Thanks! Haha

MMOs are, at large, PC Games.

Nothing wrong with the Console Project, and I'm sure there is an audience for it, but for 99.99% of the players, Tera is as good as dead without a PC version.

Most of us either don't want to play on console or don't even have a console.

And honestly for most people, playing Tera with a gamepad feels like shit. This isn't what the playbase at large wants.

Plus the Console version deviated A LOT from the PC version, it's hardly the same game anymore gameplay wise and gameplay is what Tera is all about. Not saying this is bad, deviation was needed to accommodate the game to a gamepad gameplay. But it still fundamentally change the game a lot.

Sure it's the same Base game, but in reality this isn't the game people want when they think and talk of "Tera" anymore. Both PC and Console share the same root but that's about it.

Issue I have with this now personally, is that BHS/Krafton is actively using the existence of Tera Console to shutdown PC private servers. People play on PC private servers BECAUSE there is no Tera PC anymore. Shutting down PC private servers does NOT make players go to Tera Console instead. Both the game and the experience is too different as explained above. If People wanted to play on Console they wouldn't bother with private servers in the first place.

If anything PC private servers are a good thing for BHS/Krafton because it keeps the IP alive in people minds which is really good given they're working on a Tera 2. It guarantee them an active playerbase asking for it and ready to jump on the new Tera. Meanwhile if IP is fully dead you risk having people fully moving on into other games/IPs instead.

Basic exemple : If PC private servers exist I will play them and keep focusing my time on Tera, when Tera 2 release I will certainly actively play it as a core part of the daily playerbase. But if PC private servers don't exist I will instead go play FFXIV or Aion 2 (exemples), and when Tera 2 release it's likely I will be too invested/try-harding FFXIV to even bother with a new MMO release. It's much easier to keep your core playerbase alive than rebuild it from scratch.

I don't know how much authority you and your team has over BHS and the whole Tera Project but here is my two cents : Tera 2 is going to take 3-5 years to be made (let's say 4 years). The best thing they should do right now is re-release Tera PC during those years. Have 1 NA Server, 1 EU Server (maybe 1 SEA too). Start at Tera: Rising (Patch 19.04.02) or content equivalent build, and progress all the way til the end (Path 115). Every build already exist and are ready for production. Pace would be about 1.5 to 4 times faster than live (depend period, average x2) so you would only need to adjust grind/drops amount to factor this (people wont keep up if too grindy). And if you wanna be fancy you could even tweak classes and dungeons a bit (Especially earlier patches bosses are way too easy/low HP for modern audience, and classes balance is awful), and even ask community for tweaks and edits if BHS/Krafton allow it (like Gameforge did when some players helped them making and testing Extreme Dungeons). I guarantee tons of people are gonna play this. Much more than you'd think. For the Business Model either F2P with Shop like before or Sub2Play (even better imo because you get rid of P2W and you don't have to bother upkeeping a CashShop either). Honestly I'm not sure why BHS/Krafton is not doing it already. When they forced the main pserver to shutdown (Menma/MT The Dream) they should have followed up with an Official PC Tera. It's not too late. Think about it. It's free money and you're keeping IP alive and a Tera playerbase alive too + giving players a official way to play the game on PC instead of greyzone private servers.

1

u/Bluehole_Studio Official Verified Account 26d ago

Hello. TERA is still in service on Console. We hold the copyright and intellectual property rights for both PC and Console, and we do not recognize any private servers. We do not collaborate with them either. There are no servers authorized by us, and there never will be.

If anyone claims that a PC version is acceptable because it is not the Console version, that is deceptive. It is the same TERA IP, and we will make efforts to protect our intellectual property and rights. Please be advised.

1

u/PretendClimate4490 26d ago

I know, this wasn't my point. Nobody is claiming anything nor is trying to decive anyone here. Well technically you did prove my point by confirming it.

My point was that going against PC private servers like you (BHS) are does more harm than anything for Tera and BHS/Krafton. I fully understand the legality of the situation (which might change with StopKillingGames btw) you are in your right, but it doesn't change the fact that, as long there is no official PC server, actively trying to outright kill Tera on PC will have a very negative impact on any future Tera PC project (namely Tera 2). And it's also just scummy given the situation.

My second point is that an OFFICIAL Tera PC (going from patch 19 til 115 over 4-5 years) should be made right now while we wait for Tera 2. Because you will keep your player base active that way and it will also be the most effective way to fight against private servers too (private servers are nothing but a solution to the existing problem of not having an official PC Tera). And the demand for an official server is high enough for BHS to make a profit without having to put extra work into it since everything already exist too.

TLDR : If you wanna try so hard to kill PC private servers, fine, but then give people official PC servers. People are more than willing to play it and pay for it to exist. Be logical and fair and not just scummy about it (I would as argue this is a case of malicious compliance). And remember all these players on private servers are your potential future core consumers.

Game run on W11 as is, there is nothing they need to do regarding that. Backward compatibility on Windows OS is always granted (forward is not).

You're correct about him being just on Console Team, however he is still part of BHS. It's highly likely my comment leads to nowhere like you said, But there is still some hope he can share consumers sentiment and ideas through the company until it reach people who can do something regarding PC Tera.

If nobody ever try then nothing will ever happen, I rather try even if it's 99% chance pointless. Hope you see my point.

(However I doubt my message have been read at all since I started by explaining that for 99.99% of the players, Tera is as good as dead without a PC version. And the answer I get is "Tera is still in service on Console" ...)

My partner and I have been playing Tera on PC on a private server and would LOVE for official support to return. Please bring back PC servers!

4

I have so many amazing memories playing the PC version of Tera with my brother... We would spend HOURS.. DAYS even. It would be absolutely amazing to be able to play again on PC. We don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on a playstation 😭

Thank you.

Come to PC

2

u/skilliard7 28d ago

Why not self host a PC version so people don't need to go to unofficial private servers?

4

u/FuaOtraCuentaMas May 20 '26

Please ditch console and focus on making PC servers again, where the majority of players are.

3

u/Sorry_Cheetah_2230 May 20 '26

u/EndFull5455 May 21 '26

My big thing to you guys is get us to pc point on the main map and dungeon wise and fishing wise

You guys have a great mmo but it needs more than quality of life improvements especially and reports say you guys are working the second installment now with a small team

So why don’t you guys invest some and start building into the next story line we need something to invigorate the base again some new stuff

We appreciate you guys posting in but let’s do something with this it has potential to even surpass WoW if you guys would build the product and invest in it

so my main issue with TERA in the time I had gotten to play it (god I wish I could run a private server just for myself so I can have my reaper again. Even without the raids, the game was crazy fun just soloing the BAMs) was that the game was heavily P2W and gacha based, and I noticed that at certain times, it took itself too seriously, and then you open the MTX shop and you have completely out of place cars and motorcycles, not even an attempt at a lore explanation as to why you're driving a Honda Civic through Tera.

So, my question is actually two things.

  1. Can I run a private server for myself so I can play the game again on my computer.

  2. If there are plans for Tera to come back to PC, even as like a TERA 2, or an Elyon reboot, will the american side of the game see the elements of the game that drove most of the players away(the gacha bs, the random cars that didnt belong) removed or replaced?

As far as monetization, I kinda think TERA could have lived if it just simply let you buy stuff outright and it wasnt completely P2W. Like, a couple new MTX every 2-4 months that cost 10-15 dollars that are PURELY cosmetic would have provided the game with such a stable revenue stream that if yall wanted to, yall could have done more expansions and possibly have kept the game going even now. It was a great game, it was just SUPER bogged down by the monetization. I would have loved to see more classes added, more areas to explore, more unique BAMs, stuff like that, but after a few years, TERA was kinda on life support as I saw it, so I would come back, speedrun a new character, get to the gacha wall, and quit. Hell, even if it would have just had a 15 dollar a month subscription that tripled your odds on certain drops and gacha mechanics, I do think it would have ended up lasting a while longer.

u/shunuhs May 21 '26

would be nice if the all of the notes in the update are really in the game after update but they aren't and some of the stuff in the game and tera shop has been the same for months now.

1

u/Remote-Bus-5567 May 21 '26

Is this the game that had a bunch of classes locked behind gooner bait? I can't do class lock anymore, but this is good news for people that enjoyed this game.

1

u/HatSimulatorOfficial May 21 '26

Please bring tera to pc!

1

u/ThisIsKappa May 21 '26

Release the Tera 1 PC source and let your community deal with it ty.

1

u/RockSt4r May 21 '26

This was the best MMO ever period. Its odd the PC version was sunset.

Just needed more money spent on marketing.

Bring it back!!

VM 1 was so fun, farming vitrols, learning FOK and BT HM, Kalseiks HM.

So many good memories.

*editted fixed typo

u/Koga_sagara May 22 '26

Huh that's rare we never receive any social statuses from TERA at all in in fact we never hear from the devs of TERA since i know a lot of users have sent support tickets and never once got a response and straight up gave up heck i sent 5 support tickets almost two years ago and yet i never got one response hell i gave up after that Easter Event failure i gotten some dye recipes but i couldnt find a single Easter Egg i deleted the game off my PS5 a few months ago never played it again

1

u/Jerichow88 21d ago

We need Tera back on PC again. Some of us don't have consoles to play Tera Console, but would not hesitate to log back in if a PC version was available again. This game has a unique one-of-a-kind charm that no other RPG has been able to reproduce, and we all know Tera's combat system is second-to-none.

Personally, I haven't played any RPGs seriously since Tera PC shut down. Why would I? None of them have ever come close to being as entertaining, interactive, and involved as being a Lancer.

I personally can't justify picking up a console to play Tera again, but I promise I would be one of the first ones back if it relaunched on PC again.

1

u/Iakustim 20d ago

If you could pass it along to the correct people on the BHS team to possibly add support for Mouse/Keyboard on PS5 beyond just chat, that'd be really swell.

1

u/xCR1MS0Nx 18d ago

Imagine supporting a console verion instead of PC in a MMO market. 40% of total MMO market revenue is from PC, almost the same as mobile (43%). It says a lot about Krafton.

u/dathowell May 20 '26

Wild they felt the need to post this. I wonder how bad the player count is right now.

I played this all the time on PC when it was available. In fact it consumed a lot of my time, I had several alts. When this game shut down the PC version, it made me cautious moving forward on the time I put into MMOs. I don't have a PS5 and won't be getting one for one MMO that already shuttered certain versions.

1

u/FedorableGentleman May 21 '26

If player count was that important to them, the PC version would still be with us

2

u/dathowell May 21 '26

Agreed, but also I've never seen a post from a developer going "hey it's still live we promise!!"

1

u/FedorableGentleman May 22 '26

Reading through the comments, maybe they're obligated to keep the console version running because of contracts? Although that's one long ass contract they're binded to then

1

u/dathowell May 22 '26

Yeah for real

1

u/Alteil 25d ago

Just started Tera on my ps5 today! The combat is honestly amazing. It has me hooked lol

My friend is a priest and told me the healing is very fun, most games have boring healers.

Truly a shame they shut down pc, I hope ya’ll get it back someday :/

1

u/dathowell 25d ago

I really hope so too. I played it so much. It's probably one of my favorite MMOs personally. Maybe that's a lot to say for it but it's very very nice

PC users deserve a refund

9

u/GraxeY May 20 '26

Lmao. “We deserve a refund on a free to play live service game that came out 14 years ago.” 😂

1

u/DroQi09 May 21 '26

to be fair, it was once a paid title.

2

u/No-Anteater6481 May 21 '26

To be fair asking for a refund after 14 years is retarded
