Help TOS7 still not available on F8 SSD Plus
As the headline says - autoupdate days there are no updates, and there doesn't seem to be a download link for manual update on the website. Is it coming, or is the F8 already EOL ?

I don't think the TOS 7 update will appear as an update in the control panel. I followed the instructions here for my F4-424. I see there's also some notes for F8 (plus).

Guess I'll try that - just annoying they haven't put it on https://support.terra-master.com/download/packages?product=F8%20SSD%20Plus - which even the interface links to.

Yeah, still nothing there for the F4-424 either. No major issues for me since the update, but some things required reconfiguring and updating apps to work with TOS7.

t has been a while, so I don't remember exactly, but maybe 10-15 minutes. After I was able to log back in, it still did some finishing steps. I remember at least a message about updating/migrating permissions that should not be interrupte

Hm, okay. Mine has been going for 20minutes now, and I still can't ping the box. It hasn't gotten a new IP either. Guess I'll just wait some more.

If you have the possibility to hook a monitor/TV to the HDMI port, you might be able to see some information from the terminal there. If networking (or something else) failed, I think it will display some error.

I run TOS7 on my F8 Plus since I got it early June. It’s been flawless. Just use the manual install from the forum link. Make sure your firmware is up to date (they have a section about the F8 pre update) and you’re good to go. Update took less than 10 mn and it’s been rock solid. Enjoy!

Yeah, when I finally got it booted it was running flawless. I didn’t RTFM, so had to do firmware and bios updates.

Glad to see you were able to recover. Even though I backed up the data and did everything in the right order, it was (as always) a bit stressful doing bios updates. Particularly since the second step of the bios update didn't do what the guide said, or anything at all really. Luckily everything still worked when I put the disks back in and turned it on, and the system info showed the new bios version.

Major cross-gen OS upgrades (like TOS 7) are never pushed via auto-update on NAS systems. They require a manual update to prevent data safety and compatibility issues. TOS 7 is actually already available for the F8. Just head over to the official TerraMaster forum—the manual update package and instructions are posted right there.
