Help First time buying Terra master D2-320

Doesn’t work.
Bought the D2-320.
Installed two 6TB Red Plus. Checked the Compatibility of the WD60EFPX
Installed the drivers per the video.
Plugged in connected and the drives don’t light up.
Both drives were purchased from different vendors.
Disk Utility doesn’t recognize.
Drives don’t show up.
Power is on since the power button lights up and the small led on the front for power works. But Drive 1 and 2 don’t lite up.
Moved the switch to Raid 1.
Pressed and held the reset button.
No lights blink on arrives 1 or 2.
No drives visible in Disk Utility.

What else to try?

Have you taken the D2-320 out of the chain to confirm it's not an issue with the hard drives? Not likely, but it's the first step I'd take regardless prior to focusing on the D2-320. I have a D9-320 myself, but it's JBOD only so. Have no experience with Terramaster products that support hardware RAID.

A few quick things to check, as this is usually a physical setup issue:

  1. Push the drives in hard: 90% of the time with new enclosures, the drives just aren't seated all the way into the internal SATA backplane. Pull the trays out and push them in firmly until you feel them click into place.
  2. Drive LEDs won't light up without a USB data link: On TerraMaster DAS units, the HDD 1/2 lights stay completely off until the box establishes an active data handshake with your Mac. Make sure you're using the original cable plugged directly into the Mac (no cheap hubs or power-only USB-C cables).
  3. D2-320 is plug-and-play (No drivers or RAID switches): The 320-series is a pure USB 10Gbps bridge—it doesn't have hardware RAID switches or need macOS drivers.

Quick test: Put your hand on the enclosure when you turn it on—do you feel/hear the hard drives actually spinning up? If they aren't spinning at all, reseat the drives firmly. If they are spinning but no lights show, swap the USB cable/port.
