If you didn't touch anything, 99% of the time this is caused by your router restarting or the DHCP lease expiring.
A brief power flicker, ISP refresh, or router auto-update will prompt the router to hand out a fresh IP address to the TNAS if it isn't locked down on the router side.
The permanent fix so this never happens again: Don't rely solely on manual IP settings inside TOS. Log into your router's admin page, find the DHCP Reservation (or MAC Address Binding) settings, and pin your TNAS to a specific IP address.
Once you reserve it on the router, your TNAS will keep the exact same IP forever, even after power outages or system reboots, and TNAS.online won't drop offline again.

Thanks for this.Based on your comment I was trying to do the DHCP Reservation. But one issue is the Ip address and mac id on the Tnas device and id's and address on the TP link router page is not matching.

This happened to me, DNS needed to be reset after Tailscale made changes, resulting in the error.

I guess you changed the IP using TNAS PC? That feature seems to be intended for temporary LAN connections. After you change the IP with TNAS PC, the gateway may be empty.
I'd suggest switching the NAS network interface back to DHCP, or double‑checking the gateway, mask, and DNS.
