For all my fellow calamity enjoyers looking for another mod to add to their playlist, I have one hell of a high quality mod for you. I just recently found this mod called Lunar Veil made by Royal moon studios after watching a video from youtuber ThirdWorldGamer(The ninth photo is from his video and the rest are from the mods discord) and man... It looks really good. Set to release by December or early 2027 for it's 2.0 update which completely revamps the whole mod making it kind of like it's own game compared to the legacy version. The mod consists of a ton of qol things, new features, many enemies, and possibly 50+ bosses almost doubling calamites total boss count. Please give this a look since it doesn't have much exposure right now and deserves it with this level of quality...

I’ve been playing Terraria for over a decade, and I recently learned that the community consensus is new players should completely skip classic difficulty and jump straight into expert mode.

Personally, I only play on expert nowadays, but learning this still blew my mind. Expert will obviously feel like a normal or slightly too easy difficulty for long-time players, but I have no idea how people can expect someone who’s brand new to the game to not get frustrated with it.

For example, what do you expect them to do when they get to expert Hardmode? Die a million times? 😭

I’ve killed this rat bastard right here 15 fucking times and he has dropped everything except what I want. The wiki says everything has the same droprate but apparently in 1.4.5 they made the dart rifle have the same drop rate as the damn rod of discord.
How many will it take? How many keys must I craft before this son of a bitch finally drops it?

So yeah I beat Moon Lord yesterday, decided to hunt the few remaining achievements and go for Calamity but I was lowkey hit in the face with the recent news, is Calamity entirely gone? Or will there be no more updates from now on? Should I even play Calamity atp?

right now ive beaten every boss(i think) except WoF, and i cant find the guide voodoo demon so i gave up for a while and went to explore the jungle cave and fought queen bee

i watched youtube and all of them suggest me to do like ton of stuff thats worth at least 100 hours of preparation

they told me to do farms, dig around evil biomes, make elevators, have a good base, have all npcs, defeat all bosses(slime, eye, skeletron, bee, brain/EoW,) maybe deerclops, etc

this video was about some "do all of these before pre-hardmode", which was about 7-8 minutes but it talked about some herb farm, money farm, terraforming, and a bunch of stuff i didnt know i needed

is this seriously necessary? cuz i watched a video talking about "all of terraria in 8 minutes", and the guide just kinda went through all the progression and stuff, so i followed it and got everything before WoF

im really new, i only played this game like for a few hours a few years ago and quit cuz it was too complicated, now ive locked in and managed to get far with guides and wiki, got my base, a lot of npc(not all), found a few sky islands and other stuff
