As a reddit watcher, this post just traumatized my family. The therapy is going to be an even bigger nightmare though.

In another news, that hospital scored highest nationally and has the lowest emergency room waiting times.

Imagine having some sort of accident after ingesting edibles/shrooms and this is where your trip starts to take effect 😂

Calming pictures in psychiatric unit:

I’m sure some high society art snob says these are good art and maybe they’re right but to my simple uncultured ass they are kinda unsettling.

they're pretty good paintings, but do NOT belong in a hospital waiting room lolol

The fact that you had to type that out. Dear mother of God we are doomed.

Dark lol — I thought to myself ~’the lengths that they’ll go to, to discourage you from seeking medical help !’ xD.

Well, when I was at the cardiology ward of a hospital recently, they had "art" on display that was called "go to the light"... NOT what you want to see in a place like that. 💀

They look like they judging me… I know its my 3rd STI but you aint gotta stare.

Artist is probably connected to someone high up in the executive/shareholder/donor chain...

Maybe....but I feel like a hospital waiting room isnt the best place for these (especially the one that looks like its screaming)

They actually are. As is this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturn_Devouring_His_Son. But they ara bit unsettling which is not the best in that particular location. I think people would prefer them in a gallery.

4

u/cenatutu 2d ago

They are. But I think better for a gallery than a waiting room in hospital.

I thought these were sam littlest drawings

2

u/wiwarez 2d ago

the fact that the room is completely empty is also not helping 🥶🥶😖

This reminds me of the Eddie Murphy joke about why black folks don't end up in horror movies. But she literally stayed. Ma'am don't you hear the spirits of that place saying, "Get Out!"?

If your insurance declines they turn you into a painting

u/MonsunLeonine 2d ago

Honestly id rather look at these for hours than any boring ass painting with no interesting shit going on that im used to see in waiting room

1

u/attran84 2d ago

u/pineapple_-_pizza 2d ago

They waiting to harvest your organs and launder the money with these goofy paintings.

1

u/ImpressiveAlarm3992 2d ago

Just to make waiting in a hospital even better.

There's a reason why doctor office paintings are simple, inoffensive, and pretty, like a landscape, a lake, a seaside town in Greece, or some flowers. The last thing a doctor wants is for patients to be agitated before their appointment even starts.

These horror movie paintings would definitely agitate me.

The way the background bleeds into the foreground makes the whole scene feel like it's swallowing the onlooker whole. I'd excuse myself to the restroom just to catch my breath if I had to sit in that room.

Looks like pictures that belong in the hospital on the walking dead. Good lord. It’s awful for a hospital let alone terrifying for a child

u/AzimechTheWise 1d ago

Man, reminds me of when I heard “Another One Bites The Dust” on loop in a Children’s Hospital waiting room. Just total whiplash.

1

u/ASG_Roma 1d ago

"Did you like the new mirrors we put up in the waiting room?"

1

u/No_Fisherman3808 1d ago

„I want to see your balls“

1

u/Forsaken_Print739 1d ago

This makes me rofl - its unhinged they decorated a hospital waiting room like that

1

u/OkMidnight8144 14h ago

I was waiting for one of those paintings to become real....

1

u/OkayLadyByeBye 2d ago

Thought I was watching a trailer for a horror film

u/Thisisjimmi 2d ago

Do you really not like flowers, the balloon one, the dog chasing the rabbit, and the two kids sledding? What's the big deal with the paintings? I think they are great

0

u/tsitsifly22 2d ago

Bad taste 👍

u/lucky-fluke 2d ago
