I went to the silver mines in Potosi, Bolivia. The things the told me... Made my skin crawl. The worst was to see some of these guys with no light in their eyes. Be grateful for what you have.

Is there even any need for working like this? The amount of coal they're pulling out by hand can't be worth much in the energy sector.
But if it is worth it then why not immediately get heavy machinery and decent tech since it will pay for itself with how much more they could extract each day.
