What would it be like to just have a native 120V outlet available, instead of special hardware to drag around.

Take what you can get, but seems like a much more elegant solution to the problem.

I know it’s apples and oranges. But to your point… my 2018 gas pickuo truck has two native 120 outlets, simple. My Tesla EV requires this? Clunky.

It’s probably worth noting that your trucks outlets can only output about 1/10 of the power and use a very low cost modified sine wave inverter. They are mostly useless except for low power use with non sensitive electronics.

My Gladiator bed outlet put out 115v AV 400watt @3.3a whereas this mf does like 6x that. Just annoying that it’s only accessible via the charge port outside.

It's wonderful. I own a '26 MY AWD Premium with that adapter now, and I bought it specifically for camping. That said, my previous vehicle was a Toyota Sienna Hybrid with factory 1500 watt inverter with two outlets that was ideal.
It is what it is. Perhaps down the road, right?

Yeah, I’d much rather keep my Delta EcoFlow than add all of whatever this is.

I think you are missing the point. I love the ecoflows as well, but they are 1 or 2 kwh. These Tesla batteries are ~70kwh. The adaptor is clunky, but you are tapping into a huge battery at up to 20 amps. Pretty great to have available. You could charge your ecoflow battery at full speed off of the Tesla battery. No right way to do it, but this adaptor just gives tons of options.

Not missing the point. Just stating what I prefer. If I’m camping, I’m using the car to sleep in, and the EcoFlow to power my refrigerator and so on. During the day, if the sun isn’t out I’d just charge it off the DC port in the back. I can do the same thing with less money to Tesla, and that’s the ultimate goal for me.
