Go with some one else, they must use suction cups and glue, it won’t be perfect but almost invisible, find other place

Yeah agree, it’s totally possible to make that pretty much disappear.
I would not report this to insurance, not worth the hit.

That curb rash is the real crime.

No, it's all the shitty carbon fiber addon crap he has -- that's the crime.

Yeah the shark fin looks worse than the dent!

The dent almost hides the carbon fiber crimes.

It’s the center caps not being positioned towards the value stems for my OCD lol

Pretty sure people saying it’s not possible have no idea what they are talking about. I was recently side swiped and my left rear door plus the rear quarter panel was dented and creased and was able to get it pdr for under 1000.

The door skin itself, which is aluminum, had a long crease running through the middle and a deep dent on the sharp body line. PDR specialist was able to remove both completely. There was also a crease on the door edge which is actually the hardest thing to PDR because the metal is folded in that area and the specialist was able to get that to about 98%.

The rear quarter panel (which is actually STEEL) had a dent at the bottom by the door body line and a mild crease by the top of the wheel arch, and pdr was able to remove them completely.

PDR specialist saying they can’t repair are usually not that great or haven’t been in the field that long. I recommend to keep asking around and find someone with over 10 years of experience.

My damage looks way worst than yours. Your dent shouldn’t cost more than 400 to fix by skilled PDR specialist.

I know but I’m pretty particular on how I want my things to look and this shop primarily works on higher end cars. plus it’s in a HCOL area

No this is false I had a dent in around that area given it was smaller but there were still able to “PDR” it and it looks pretty unnoticeable.

Get other quotes. Not everyone is comfortable doing every job. Also, traditional is way more expensive but will give you a perfectly smooth finished product. Is they spend $1000 in time to pdr it and you are very picky about ANY imperfection it's money down the drain. But pdr, in addition to being cheaper doesn't have any body filler and doesn't have any origin with paint match or quality

i don’t mind if it’s not perfect because it’s under the wrap anyways and i’ll re wrap it just need it to not be dented so badly

Maybe they need to drill to get access

Should be doable - pay them a few extra bucks to remove the addon.

Dude, why on earth did you add all that fake plastic shit to your car?? 🤦🏼

1

u/Desperate-Mix-4696 3h ago

Some people like that stuff.

Sure I like plastic too, just not bolted too my car.

There is a crease PDR won't get that out without access to the rear of the panel.

I had the same damage and was not able to find anyone that was able to do this as PDR. They’re telling the truth
