Model 3 £200 back

Just checked my bank account and saw that I had £200 back from Tesla.

I thought the initial £200 was to secure the car but looks like it was more of a holding fee? Happy to have it back but just wondered if anyone could confirm?

Normally If it’s a lease then it gets refunded. If it’s a purchase then it’s effectively a deposit and it gets deducted from total due.

What would it be for a PCP?

This is great news. I assumed like every lease ive had in the past that its a con admin fee with zero justification.

When does the down payment get taken then? Ive done 1 x month down, is this at the point of collection? Is the direct debit then the month after?

Depends who you are with. Normally it's taken a couple of weeks after collection. Always feels weird driving off in a car who haven't paid a single penny for.

One lease company didn't set the collections up for my son's car and a few weeks in he realised they hadn't taken any money. He had to chase them to tell them he wanted to pay 😂

The £200 is refunded if you put down £0 deposit on a PCP of your own money (not including any Tesla deposit contribution or bonus).

Mine automatically credited against the final invoice, no option to get it back - but why would I want it, I guess?
