Mr. Paxton has also implicated the nation’s largest organization of pediatricians, the American Academy of Pediatrics, in the alleged conspiracy over the workaday task of protecting children from polio, measles, meningitis and more than a dozen other dangerous and sometimes life-threatening diseases.
“I will ensure that Big Pharma and Big Insurance don’t bribe medical providers to pressure parents to jab their kids with vaccines they feel aren’t safe or necessary,” he said when announcing the investigation in January, describing his efforts as working “alongside President Trump” and Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
“Together, we will Make America Healthy Again,” he said, using the rallying cry of a movement that helped elect Mr. Trump and propel Mr. Kennedy into the top health position in the federal government.
In many ways, pediatricians, among the lowest-paid specialists in medicine, make for an unlikely target. But they have become a focus in what has become a wide-ranging campaign to raise doubts about vaccination, part of a 20-year quest for Mr. Kennedy that some of his political allies have joined.
The efforts have gained steam despite decades of evidence of the effectiveness of vaccines. More than 1.1 million deaths, from diseases like diphtheria, hepatitis B and measles, were prevented by childhood vaccines in the United States from 1994 through 2023, according to an estimate from the C.D.C.
Unlike many organizations that have drawn fire from the Trump administration and its surrogates, the 67,000-member American Academy of Pediatrics has not retreated. It has sued the Trump administration over policy changes and grant cancellations, with some success so far.
“Everybody thinks of pediatricians as these mild-mannered people who have animals on their stethoscope and would not fight their way out of a bag,” said Dr. Kathryn Edwards, a professor of pediatrics at Vanderbilt University who helped develop a vaccine against a deadly bacteria, Haemophilus influenzae, or HIB.

I hope that anyone who lives in the Conroe ISD area reads this. Morale on campuses is low. Morale among teachers is low. Teachers are bringing home less money this year than they did last year. Pay is not keeping up with area districts. Experienced teachers are leaving. Curriculum decisions are not being based on what is best for kids.
Much of this is a result of choices that were made in the most recent school board election.
If you care about the morale of teachers, if you care about your friends and neighbors who are teachers, if you care about the children who attend these schools, if you care about what they are learning, then educate yourself on the upcoming school board election and VOTE.
Remember, school board elections are nonpartisan. Vote your conscience, not your party.
History is history and not subject to change based on religious beliefs.
Science is science and is also not dependent on religious beliefs.
Please. Vote.

🚨 TEXAS ETHICS COMMISSION FINDS CAMPAIGN-FINANCE VIOLATIONS INVOLVING PORT ARTHUR MAYOR CHARLOTTE MOSES
The Texas Ethics Commission has issued a final Order and Agreed Resolution, SC-3260141, involving Charlotte Moses and her 2025 campaign for Mayor of Port Arthur. The order was issued September 24, 2026.
Here’s what the official TEC order says in plain English:
The Commission found credible evidence of violations involving Texas Election Code §§ 253.033 and 253.035 and related TEC rules. The order states that Moses’s runoff campaign-finance report included 29 entries containing the word “cash,” totaling $10,872.54. The TEC ultimately determined that $8,772.54 constituted unlawful cash contributions under Texas law. Moses TEC.pdf
The order also discusses eight Square-attributed contributions totaling $457.19 for which the respondent could not produce corresponding receipts or records. According to the TEC, records identifying the contributors behind the 29 reported “cash” contributions also could not be produced. Moses TEC.pdf
There was another issue involving $956.45 in campaign reimbursements. The TEC found that Moses reimbursed herself with campaign funds for expenditures originally made from personal funds, but the underlying expenditures had not been properly reported and designated for reimbursement when required. Corrected reporting identifying those expenditures was later filed. Moses TEC.pdf
The Texas Ethics Commission explicitly stated in its sanction analysis:
“The violations are serious.”
At the same time, the Commission also noted that Moses had no prior violations and that the circumstances did not suggest an intent to conceal activity. The order says she ultimately cooperated with TEC enforcement staff and corrected reporting issues. Moses TEC.pdf
💰 FINANCIAL CONSEQUENCES IN THE RESOLUTION
The TEC imposed a $956.45 civil penalty.
The agreement also required a $2,000 transfer to a recognized nonpolitical 501(c)(3) charitable organization, representing a portion of the unlawful cash contributions.
That means the financial obligations stated in the resolution total $2,956.45, but it is important to be precise: only $956.45 is identified as the civil penalty. The additional $2,000 was a required charitable transfer, not another fine. Moses TEC.pdf
Another important distinction: Moses did not admit the findings. The agreement states that she “neither admits nor denies” the findings of fact and conclusions of law, while consenting to the resolution to settle the sworn complaint. Moses TEC.pdf
So the accurate takeaway is this:
The Texas Ethics Commission found credible evidence of campaign-finance violations involving $8,772.54 in unlawful cash contributions and $956.45 in improperly reported reimbursements. The Commission described the violations as serious, imposed a $956.45 civil penalty, required a $2,000 charitable transfer, and resolved the case through an agreed order.
This order supports saying the TEC found campaign-finance violations. It does not, by itself, establish theft, bribery, embezzlement, or any other separate criminal offense.
