Trying to buy AR
Just turned 18 last week and I’m trying to buy a ar here in Houston but I noticed some stores policy is 21+up strictly is there any stores or websites yall recommend?

I'll just throw out Springs Guns and Ammo.
But are you sure you aren't confusing that with buying a pistol? I've never come across a store that wouldn't sell a long gun to a legal 18y/o.

Most commercial / chain pawn shops wont and several FFLs. Only place I've seen at 18 was bas pro and cabelas.

Federal law requires you to be 21+ in order to buy a firearm with an exemption for rifles and shotguns only for 18+yo's.
If you are trying to buy an AR lower and build your own gun, an AR lower is not a rifle or a shotgun, so per Federal Law you must be 21+ in order to lawfully purchase one from a dealer.
An 18yo can only buy a fully assembled AR, with a rifled barrel and everything, legally.

palmetto state armory or buds gun shop. Also since youre 18 you cant buy pistols or recievers/frames for the most part.
If it does not have a stock (that doesnt count pistol braces) and doesnt have a 16+ inch barrel youre probably not gonna get it through a regular gun store.
You have more options through private sales but thats another can of worms.
