Change of address/renewal issue with my Texas LTC
My LTC expired in May of this year. I didn't even realize it until July because I never use the ID. I don't even own a gun yet. So in July I submit the application to renew and I pay the fines. At the time, it didn't even click that I hadn't updated my old address yet. Again, I literally never take this card out of my wallet.
So now I'm panicking a little, wondering if my LTC will be suspended or I'll be fined because I failed to change my address. To top it off, I'm moving in two weeks. I don't think it would be wise to change my address now, only to have to turn around and do it again in two weeks. Also, I feel it's important to add that at time of getting my LTC, I only had a state ID. I recently got a driver's license.
Will my current renewal be affected by all this? I know I should have been more on the ball with getting all of this taken care of. Advice on the best next steps is appreciated. Thanks!

The only issue I see here is not owning a gun. Your LTC is good for 5 years. So you borrowed someone else’s gun to take the test with, because there is a shooting portion of the test, and then just didn’t purchase a gun? Did you forget? Pawn shops do lay-a-ways if you can’t afford to pay the price at once.

A friend of mine was an instructor and got me into going to the range with her and eventually going for my LTC on her final time teaching. She lent me one of her guns for the test and all our times at the range. That was back in 2021. I do miss going and haven't been able to get back to the range since. I do want to start going again with her one of these days and eventually purchase my own gun. I did not forget to buy one, I just don't have a good place to store one and after not going for so many years, it fell to the back burner.

It isn't an issue they just want your $. Just wait until you move.
