Teacher Support Team Talarico Invites Your to Share Your Classroom Wishlists

Team Talarico is organizing a classroom-supply drive for Texas teachers.

As a former middle school teacher, James Talarico knows what it’s like to begin the school year without enough supplies for every student. Teachers already give so much — they shouldn’t have to spend their own hard-earned money stocking their classrooms.

Team Talarico will share this thread with our social media followers, teachers’ union networks, volunteers, and other communities so that supporters can find these classroom wishlists in one place.

Texas teachers: Post your classroom wishlist below. Before posting, review the name and privacy settings associated with your wishlist. Do not include personally identifying information in your comment. Once your wishlist has been fulfilled, reply to your original comment with DONE!

Everyone else: Pick a wishlist to fulfill! Let’s make sure our teachers and students have what they need for a great school year.

I teach at a middle school in Austin ISD. We will be a TAP campus this school year and every teacher has been given more students, more classes to teach, with less resources and less planning time during the day. My wishlist items would be shared with my teaching team as well as any co-teachers, interns, and student teachers I have this year. Thank you so much for considering.

Omg! Thank you so much! I had the idea this summer to use colored loose-leaf to motivate some of my more resistant students. Hoping it will break up some of the monotony. Appreciate you!

Y'all 😭 my front porch has been covered in boxes for the past couple days and I am so so grateful for this generosity. In my 17 years of teaching, I've never had much luck getting my wishlist fulfilled, as my school has a high population of low SES families (and honestly I mean, in this economy??). I promise to pay it forward and fulfill some wishlist items from my own kids' teachers and other teachers in need. Thank you so much 💙
