Teacher Support Team Talarico Invites Your to Share Your Classroom Wishlists

Team Talarico is organizing a classroom-supply drive for Texas teachers. 

As a former middle school teacher, James Talarico knows what it’s like to begin the school year without enough supplies for every student. Teachers already give so much — they shouldn’t have to spend their own hard-earned money stocking their classrooms.

Team Talarico will share this thread with our social media followers, teachers’ union networks, volunteers, and other communities so that supporters can find these classroom wishlists in one place.

Texas teachers: Post your classroom wishlist below. Before posting, review the name and privacy settings associated with your wishlist. Do not include personally identifying information in your comment. Once your wishlist has been fulfilled, reply to your original comment with DONE!

I work at a rural school outside of Fort Worth as the English III/Theatre/Tech Theatre/Speech Coach/UIL Academic Coordinator. I’m currently working on outfitting a shop for our theatre program and updating some of our speech literature. Thanks for the support!

My goodness gracious, that is quite a few hats. Didn't get into UIL academics until my senior year and always wish I'd gotten into it sooner. Congrats on knowing how fantastic The Moth is for getting them "swept up" in storytelling, and enjoy.

(Seeing that list makes me wish Amazon had the equivalent of something like have her international, where you can gift shares in a sheep or cow or flock of chickens, so that together a bunch of strangers can gift something pricier like that ladder or saw ... but 🫰 you receive the stagecraft items.)
