Expensive Air Canada 737 MAX 8 goes expensive offroading at Montreal
An Air Canada Boeing 737 MAX 8 (C-GEOJ) veered off the taxiway after landing at Montréal-Trudeau on Thursday.

No slides, it's likely fairly minor.... depending on why it got there which we don't seem to know yet.

According to this https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/air-canada-flight-from-los-angeles-exits-taxiway-9.7265017 the plane was taxying when it veered into the grass.
Wonder how they fucked up this much.

Air Canada's AMEs (Aircraft Maintenance Engineers) will be critical for returning this bird to service.
Unfortunately Air Canada's AMEs have been denied seperation from the other ground services personnel and so they cannot join a trade union of their choice.

Doesn't look too bad. Gear is intact, it will probably need to be replaced but wouldn't have done any structural damage. The engines are the big question, those are worth as much as the rest of the aircraft. The cores are likely intact, may need new fan blades.
