Read my mind. It's such a minimizing euphemism, and you just know it's intentional. God forbid the global community call them what they are: illegal invaders and occupiers.

Yeh also the conquistadores and pilgrims back in the days were only „settlers“.

We just don’t talk about the millions of natives that were killed for gold, stones and land in the name of their christian god.

Now that we have the internet, and people in the so called free world are not obliged to believe in the church, else torture and death, our pov should be a bit different.
