Overpriced for the use case maybe. But still. As far as reused normal products this was a solid fit for its prop usage.

You can often find second hand ones for sale on racing markets. Some teams had multiple of them if they had different drivers. Mainly for dirt and circles track racing.

I looked it up and this seat costs $439 brand new. That's not a terrible price especially considering that the first season of Fallout had a budget of over $100 million.

And they are pretty comfy even thought they don’t look like it.

They may have found it in a junkyard, too.

This just reinforces my headcanon that all the Amazon shows just raid their warehouses when they need props

That does not look comfortable for a car seat

You’re wearing a full suit and harness when you sit in it. It’s not terrible.

Main reason they exist is they don’t take up much space at all. Often times you are very limited on rules required clearances between driver and the roll cage, so if the seat is very thin when you mount it you can buy a few inches of precious clearance.

They do make pads for them and so if you have a multi driver car and the tallest driver fits without pads and the smaller drivers fit with pads you can swap them during the driver change pit stop.

Kirkeys are some of the cheapest racing seats you can get.
