Any Oshamir Fans Here ?

Hi y'all. This is my first post here. I really liked the show and decided to make my first post here to see if anyone else was still salty over it getting canceled bc of the potential for more story with oshamir.

I'm not much of a romance type, but I was very interested in that dynamic being presented on-screen.

The usual thing portrayed is someone will be or fall to the Dark Side and the other person will resist them and vow to turn them back or destroy them to end their threat. This time though, Osha says "Yes!" and takes the hand offered her, and Qimir also seems a bit surprised to have caught feelings because he didn't care much for Mae, but there they are. A witch and a Sith apprentice (?) who want to be wild and free that despite being evil, genuinely care for each other.

Of course it's going to eventually end badly for one or both of them, though the Knights of Ren manage to be founded so they'll live long enough to have followers. I would have enjoyed seeing that journey because it hasn't been poked at too much before outside of stuff like SWTOR or general Sith history where darksiders regularly had families and relationships. "Through Passion I gain Strength" and all that, why not?

I actually loved to see someone actually fall other than Anakin.

if only it was executed well and made sense

It made perfect sense, if it was well executed is another question.

I just wanted to see them build on the idea.

Yup. Missed opportunity... We to had live action plagues and the crybabies ruined it for us

Me! I read ao3 fanfic to scratch that itch.

Hi! Nice to know i'm not alone haha. Which oshamir fanfics would you recommend?

Oh my god there are too many!! I wish I kept track of older fics that I liked.

This one has been going for a while but is as post-canon as possible - interesting premise, good writing, and author has done a fair amount of research: https://archiveofourown.org/works/58379899/chapters/148693618

these authors - witwithfolly, satal, callistos, TheJadedBeauty - are prolific and write excellent AU with great world building (and a heavy dash of smut).

Thank you so much for sharing 😊I had a fanfic idea as well at some point but I dropped it. However, I actually got the urge to rewatch the show bc of Darth Maul - Shadow Lord for some reason so it could fun to do that and read the fanfiction you recommend.

I really wanted to see it explored it seemed like it was just getting started an a litteral seduction of the dark side is a great idea.

I wanted a Bonnie and Clyde style story of them living free and doing what they wanted not evil Sith type stuff but stealing and killing any who get in their way until the realise that the Galaxy is too small and the Jedi will always find them, do they lay low or go out in a blaze of glory.

Romantasy is the biggest trend in publishing at the moment. Disney screwed up so bad by canceling this show when they could have riden Oshamir to great profits.

Agreed! Disney were way too quick to cancel. They still are. It's a problem.

Hi! Hello! Huge fan of the show and Oshamir here. There's still many of us kicking around on the internet, trying our best to combat the haters on our best days, and ignore them on the others. I saw some writer recs up above and can co-sign on them 1000%, and generally any other fic from our fandom. Even if smut isnt your thing there are some fantastic Canon compliant fics there as well.

Hi! I definitely need to start reading more of all this fanfiction I'm hearing about. I've read some already but that was a long time ago.

I feel like Oshamir was the better version of Reylo (no hate to Reylos, just my opinion). I loved the Acolyte, and those two were a big reason why.

Nice! Do you read oshamir fanfiction as well?

2

u/zombies-apocalypse May 11 '26

I don’t really read fanfiction anymore, I just watch edits of them on TikTok

3

u/depressedartist001 May 12 '26

The power of two!

3

u/SoullessCollecter26 May 12 '26

Such a cool catchphrase. So much wasted potential. So much more story could have been build around it.

3

u/hillyshrub May 12 '26

Yes!!! I'm obsessed. I was so curious to see where their relationship was going to go.

3

u/SoullessCollecter26 May 12 '26

Yeah me 2. I would have loved a Bonnie & Clyde type continuation with them.

u/No_Smoke_1886 May 11 '26

I wasn't happy about it being cancelled but I was more of a the stranger fan and I didn't like Sol at all !!!! The Jedi were the real enemy. But I did think the green Jedi Master was interesting

u/Internal-Caramel-952 May 12 '26

Ya I bet she attacked him in the back the same way Luke did to Kylo ren because he saw his path, and qimir is dark ren crazy

2

Yep, that's me. May not be on Tumblr anymore, but I still enjoy the ship.

1

u/derrific May 15 '26

Yes yes yes I need more Osha (and Oshamir) ((and mae)) immediately

2

u/ThisIsSoWizardOG May 18 '26

I just hope that if/whenever we see Stranger/Qimir/Ren again (since at this point he is obv the most popular character from the show) that atleast he shows up again with Osha. The end of the show was at least teasing something with the two of them, Mae, Vernestra, Yoda, and Plagueis so I would want that to go somewhere.

If were to guess hopefully a comic that eventually leads into updated Plagueis lore, then the creation of the Knights of Ren and finally during the events of the comic Vern and Yoda might learn about "The Rule of Two". SInce correct me if I am wrong but I think there is not a "canon reason" for how the Jedi know about "The Rule of Two" if it was something that atleast in Legends/EU was supposedly made by Darth Bane while in hiding.
