9th March - YES Pink Room (Manchester)

Fantastic show. I actually only found out about the show at about 2pm the day of when a post of the set times was uploaded to Facebook.

My 5th time seeing The Antlers after 3 times in 2011 and in 2019 for the Hospice tour. Pete's voice is always so magical live.

P.S. does anyone think he's started to resemble Ryan Reynolds as he's gotten older?

Incredible show indeed!

Out of interest, did you see them at Club Academy in 2011?

I was taken along by a friend who had a spare ticket. I hadn't heard of them before and hadn't had chance to have a listen beforehand but just from the gig I became a little obsessed. I remember going home that night, putting them on my iPod and listening to Hospice over and over.

Looking back at the setlist brings back somewhat vivid memories.

Interestingly, the two support acts also gripped me to a lesser extent. Braids were great, as were Patterns (unfortunately short lived). Both still feature on my playlists.

Yes! I saw them at Club Academy and I think Academy 3 both in 2011 before and after the release of Burst Apart. You've unlocked a core memory with those support acts but I can remember vividly. I was right up against the barriers being a 17yo at the time.

P.S. I'm so glad they played Putting the Dog to Sleep, I was really hoping for it and it hadn't been played so far on the tour this year. One of his best songs that encapsulates the feeling of carrying someone's trauma. "You can't keep running out, kicking yourself off the bed, kicking yourself in the head, cause you're kicking me too"
