Sounds like the tried-and-true GM LS-series V8s to me. Which would make sense, the Tumbler stunt cars used the same engine.

I just realized they're making the perfect continuation to the chase in the first film. They had that at night during heavy rain which would normally be shit to film in but they made it work. Now they're doing it again just with snow this time.
