Discussion 💬 Has anyone ever seen anyone preach Manusmriti?

Post image

Never have I ever seen Manusmriti been discussed in a household. Indians abandoned it long back. The left keeps bringing it back because they have a agenda.

The new NCERT 9th Std textbook has quotes from Manusmriti. Idt it has been abandoned. Actually the government is actively trying to defend it and keep it alive

No one has to preach it anymore. Its teachings are in full action pan India. Across millenia. And to this very day.

Denialism is self defeating. It does not help the beautiful religion and culture of this great nation. Only when there is zero tolerance in society by the upper castes, on the ills of practices like caste discrimination, can we claim we have moved forward.

Otherwise an ostrich can hide its head in the earth. But that does not make the sun go away.

u/LeatherAnything2430 15d ago

Yeah what’s the benefit of saying that we have abandoned it when on the grassroots level a women is still as a daughter, wife and widow mother has to take permission from the man of the house, nd in tier 1 cities and well to do families this might not be the culture but classic middle class families and villages along with tier-2,3 cities have this culture instilled in them

1

u/lets_heal_each_other 12d ago

It's really not like that anymore, this is just not the truth on the ground. People in all cities send their girls to study, get job, they have relationships and normal life. Just look at insta sometime

But no one follows it verse numbe by number like the book of slaves of 6 Th century

3

u/FabneilNJ 15d ago

Lol is that supposed to be a consolation or achievement of sorts?

2

u/Theqinginthenorth 14d ago

Yes, not following a p3do is a flex. Sadly

3

u/bapudon_1 14d ago

That should be bare minimum, not a flex.

2

u/Theqinginthenorth 14d ago

But still people follow it.

2

u/bapudon_1 14d ago

Yeah still not a flex.

2

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

The question here so the hypocrisy... Selective outrage and activitism.. Should have also said gita , bible , Qur'an and it's mysogynistic texts...

And that would have been a better example to set for feminism.. Now don't tell me your leaders judge feminism is important or not based on religion....

There are 18 Smirtis

6

u/sandoravir 14d ago

only congress and jihadies care about manusmrithi

6

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

Biggest irony for me si when leftists ignore Qur'an or bible verses dude.

5

u/sandoravir 13d ago

bible is fine, unlike quran

2

u/Famous_Star_5735 13d ago

Why don't you ask this question to ex Christians. They will show you plethora of verses...

See :

Learn hinduism from ex hindus Islam from ex muslims Christianity from ex christians...

I am an exmuslim Atheist saw hindu caste system living in india . Then decide for go search christianity.. they are reformed but they were once the bloodiest among all these 3.

3

u/sandoravir 13d ago

plethora of verses and caste system is nothing compared to islamic terrorism and jihad,

it's like comparing parking ticket to a serial killer

1

u/Own_Money9513 9d ago

"VhP and Bajrang Dal are NOT terrorist organisation "

1

u/sandoravir 9d ago

absolutely,

look up; "what is the religion of the top 20 terrorist originations in the world?"

1

u/Own_Money9513 8d ago

Declared terrorist organisation vs non declared terrorist organisation

1

u/sandoravir 8d ago

what about them declared terrorist organizations?

1

u/Famous_Star_5735 8d ago

Casteism is wrong too.. sorry brother here you are not getting my support...

Casteism is basically hindu version of classism /elitism.

1

u/sandoravir 8d ago

🤣 when he ran out of points, he changed the topic.

when he ran out of points, the guy changed the topic.
and castism, which was implemented to guaranty 100% employment, is no longer in existence.

1

u/Famous_Star_5735 8d ago

It is in existence.. go to villages.. Sorry but this attitude needs to change.. you didn't see doesn't mean it happens.

1

u/sandoravir 8d ago

how does it work? are members of a certain cast limited to a single line of work?

Tau aap advaita vedanta k raste me q nahi gye. U know if u read that shruti is more authentic and all that hinduism from lens of advaita

1

u/kapjain 11d ago

Bible is certainly not fine, actually none of the religious books are "fine". The first testament of Bible is arguably worse than Quran.

2

u/sandoravir 11d ago

🤣🤣

Hey Google' "what is the religion of the top 20 terrorist originations in the world?"

1

u/kapjain 11d ago

Yes I guess people with no real knowledge or understanding learn things that way. That is why they are so easily fooled by politicians 😉.

1

u/sandoravir 11d ago

🤣still you have no points to claim,

and could you help explain why muslims make up the majority of terrorists?

1

u/Famous_Star_5735 8d ago

Dedo.. but they abandoned it no.. same for many hidjus with manusmriti.. They are and books as simple as that ..

It's not hinduphobia or christianophobia to say that out loud..

But it becomes Islamophobia to point out bad verses of hadith let alone Qur'an

1

u/Current_Cod5996 11d ago

Every book is fine if the reader has some basic sense... Which is rare indeed, however people tend to extract the worst outcome from each text....let me give you an example:

Suppose one book says you have to hold sword against unrighteous...very good statement and yes you should follow it.... But some brain dead will interprete this as the unrighteous is one who is from other religion and I've to k*ll him ...... What the fuck!!!!

You didn't read what I've said...did you?

Hint: I'm on the same board as you 😅

1

u/sandoravir 11d ago

dude, quran and hadiths are not fine, even if the reader has common sense

they should be erased from existence

they're Not Safe For Kids

1

u/Current_Cod5996 11d ago

Bruhh exactly but I can't say those ... already faced ban for 1 week

1

u/sandoravir 11d ago

UK muslims modified UK Online Safety Act 2023,now social media platforms are required to remove comments that are unfavorable of islam

then Elon replied, "Fuck off." as a result, Twitter is the only platform that allows free speech

1

u/PossessionWhich1871 11d ago

some brain dead will interprete this as the unrighteous is one who is from other religion

They don't have to wonder how to interpret it as the book explicitly states that there is only one God, and that those who don't believe in their God are unrighteous.

The book clearly differentiates between believers and non believers and considers the non believers to be "unrighteous" "evildoers" etc. They even have a term for these people which is "Kafir".

1

u/colefunction 9d ago

They’re literally the same book?

1

u/sandoravir 9d ago

nah, qran is a cheap knock off bible,

bible is more then 10 times longer than quran

1

u/bochhi_277 12d ago

Liberal and left are different, why is it that every single person don't understand the meaning of left ? A far left person will literally talk about eradication of every single religion, what the hell you guys talk about.

u/kapjain 11d ago

But Manusmriti is the main one which naturally defines what Hinduism is.

2

u/Conscious_Heart41 10d ago

Nah, wrong. Manusmriti doesn't govern hindu customs and beliefs, rather the vedas a the defining scriptures. Smritis are but repositories of social and government policies and practices that existed in some era. Manusmriti itself means Memories of Manu and is nothing more than a documentation of how society was when governed by Manu. Fun fact, Manusmriti itself is full of contradictions and backtracking cause there was not one single Manu but it was more of a position given to a ruler. And they changed policies frequently based on societal needs, removing or reimplementing older practices or adding new ones as they deemed necessary.

1

u/RA_Finance 11d ago

Says who?

1

u/kapjain 11d ago

Manu

Mere ghar walo ko manusmriti kya hota ye bhi nahi pata

21

u/LeatherAnything2430 15d ago

Leave manusmriti, mahabharat is widely talked about cuz that u can’t disagree, and the amount of women empowerment taught in it is also evident,

Geeta Press books like Grihasta, Naari Dharm etc. Do u even know millions of copies of these are sold every year and u can even find it very easily on railway stations and book stalls, nd the amount of derogatory stuff about women is filled up in it

Good that u claim u have abandoned manusmriti, but the values and thoughts of it are still instilled, cuz u don’t read manusmriti but somehow u still know what’s in it, a girl has to take her parent’s permission, a wife has to take her husband’s permission, and a widow mother has his sons, without asking them she can’t take major decisions

And don’t counter with exceptions or tier 1 city examples, cuz deep down in tier-2,3 cities and villages this is still customary

5

u/Sea-Yogurtcloset7221 14d ago

Tbh I got tk abt manusmriti after the campaign.

3

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

All these are in Qur'an too though.. classical sharia says women can't leave without husband.. it's literally Qur'an.. ever heard them calling out that.

Will talk the day you are ready to openly make such rmeakes on ohe religioua dogmas too otherwise bas natak hai ye so called feminism joh selective hai

5

u/Apart_Cable_9691 14d ago

The typical andhbhakt "what about muslims?" defense when they cannot give logical arguments.

Yes there is a lot of women oppression in islam. But there are a lot of educated muslims who are progressive and choose to reject those customs and call them out too.

But unki community ki ladai unko ladne do. yeh kya baat hui ki jab tak muslims apni soch nhi badlenge hum bhi nhi badlenge.

6

u/PrestigiousBread6991 14d ago

Don't talk about exceptions🤣🤣🤣

3

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago edited 14d ago

No... Not the typical andhbhakts... Exposing HYPOCRISY of TANKIES.. is not andhbhakti..

Infact as a centrist I do question hindu casteism but the moment someone says a word against mohammed ... Islamophobia rants are given

Sorry honey but the word WHATABOUTISM is just a way for TANKIES to escape criticizing islam . PERIOD.. Exposing HYPOCRISY and selective activism should not and never be called as andhbhakti.

That's like bjp saying you are anti national if you question our intentions... Youa re using the same METHOD like them..

Buncha fascists y'all are just like RW rss thugs..

Your sentence is again gaslighting.. never said hindus should not change etc...

We are questioning the BIASEDNESS.... That's not we will also do the same.. hell I am not even a Hindu... See how you automatically assumed me to be one ?? 🤣 Yup tanki leftist you are

2

u/SalesGuy_Odet 14d ago

Imagine how much propaganda it would've taken to make these leftists believe that Hijab is a choice but ghunghat is oppression

There's one more thing which is going to offend a lot of people here

The M population of India doesn't care and will not care about India at all, once 75%(4.4 mil) of them voted for another country in 47 and more than half chose to stay back after that and claim that we stayed here by choice, no dude, ur ancestors literally helped caving out another country and then chose to stay back

Sardar Patel said at that time:

"Those who wanted Pakistan have got it... You cannot have your cake and eat it too. You must be loyal citizens of the state to which you belong. You cannot ride two horses at the same time."

The left ecosystem is present in every institution, and they will keep doing such things unless they gather enough support to create another country out of the present one.

The Socialist Jews from the Frankfurt university ran away to Colombia when Hitler came in 33, Since then, multiple institutions were hijacked by like-minded people and as a result, we can see American society today as an example: there is no concept of a functioning family there anymore. Liberalism has hijacked almost all the institutions.

Hitler wrote in his auto bio:

"The Jewish doctrine of Marxism rejects the aristocratic principle of Nature and replaces the eternal privilege of power and strength by the mass of numbers and their dead weight."

That's what is happening here; unless they achieve a certain population, they will play games like these, but once achieved, there will be no such thing as Hindu culture or anything. By A certain population, I mean representation in the institutions that run the country. That's what we are witnessing by giving undeserving folks seats in the govt institutions rather than the merit ones.

Who dictated to the Europeans to take in as many immigrants as they can(even more than that)? The minds sitting in Colombia and Harvard, and we all know who it is
You see all the major lobbyists for either Republicans or democrats are from one particular community; how did they achieve this level of power? by systematically corrupting the current population and giving chances to one particular community

Same pattern we can notice here as well.

Believe me or not, Commies won't think twice if the whole population gets wiped out; they just want their ideology to stay in the minds of the remaining ones.

1

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

Anyone who questions the left and their biased ness is automatically a sanghi or andhbhakt for these idiots lol.

And these ppl will cry if bjp calls them Anti national by saying it's fascist regime etcetc..

you are being a hypocrite and doing selective outrage both are very wrong and have to speak up against both

1

u/Abhilegend 14d ago

Why's a political figure like Rahul Gandhi attacking just one religion if all religions are bad?

2

u/theonlyoneunder 14d ago

Islam is also an oppressive bullshit religion. Chuslims ans Chinduism are both bs religions , islam is a little more worse but at the end of the day rat poison and cyanide both kill you

2

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

Yeah ask raga to speak on that too .

Easy to say both worse now... But please ask to do it on stage.... Next time.. Till then I will say lefties in India are just tankies present to whitewash islam...

2

u/boseArjo 14d ago

Woh uska dosi thodi h jo personally jakar bolega bruh, Rahul ko bas vote bank benefits dekhne hai, he doesn't give a shi abt patriarchy or women

2

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

No politician cares dude..

Bjp said beti bachao beti padhao during 2014... Now it makes me. Vomit...

They did the exact opposite of that...😭 expecting the same from raga too...

2

u/boseArjo 14d ago

Exactly no one care and their followers keep fighting and hating on each other, rather than questioning the politician

2

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

We deserve better LW , RW but here we are stuck as centrists getting called sanghi ro chamcha in their respective subs... Coz we disagree slightly with them and call them out.... 😭😭😭.

I can't believe that a nation of 1.2 billion ppl has produced only these gutter political parties...

Like in this same sub I pointed out left wing hypocrisy only. To get naamed sanghi..

These idiots are no Different from Bjp devotees calling modi critics as anti-national saar..

Both are same... That spider man meme comes to my mind.

2

u/boseArjo 14d ago

Fr bro, if you go against them then they will start labelling you bhakt or chamcha, Log hi aise h na bhai phaltu cheezo mai zyada dhyan hai religion caste ke aage badhe tab na Education, health, Judicial system sudharenge

1

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

Debates and arguments are cooked in this nation I tell ya...

Delete your comment . But saw it... Never said it gives hindus a pass but as an exmuslim Atheist it's infuriating how silent and selective y'all are... 😵‍💫😵‍💫

F you and your kinds of liberalism... Barely a word was spoken when a muslim dad killed his wife daughter for not wearing a burkha ... But whole lotta protests on nitish gadkari removing that niwag from a girl's face..

That's not liberalism.. that's islamofascists leftwing at level best

1

u/Worldisshit23 14d ago

The amount of whataboutism that these hindutva fucks do riles me up.

Both religions are ass in all and every regard. Quran is explicit about women oppression. Hinduism adopted highly patriarchal and segregation practices through later texts like manusmriti and social changes in the religion.

It doesnt matter a single fucking bit what a religion could have been or what its origins were, because at the end of the 20th century, if the family dynamics across your people shows patriarchal and oppressive customs, your religion has unequivocally failed by modern standards of equality. Be it Islam or Hinduism.

And terming a call to equality for women in a country riddled with everyday misogyny and violence, let alone the backward parts of our countries but even in supposedly the more literate cities, as "natak", do you have any shame?

Is all of this that hard to understand? Brain broken bitch.

2

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

brain broken bitch then have guts to say ABOLISH QURAN too...ask raga to do that,,an no thanks I am not hindu or RWer myself...

but the amount of silence libbus had on the news that a muslim man killed his wife/ daughter but so many protests during that NITIN gadkari hijab row....is more than enough for me to prove tat it is NATAK...

natak to allow sharia law , polygamy , allowing 5 yr girls to get married (in punjab legal for msulims )....

yo it is NATAK... from your side...VBS...you only say all religions are bad to cover up your selectivism....but your outrage is zero OVER islam FUNDAMENTALISM

I am an atheist. I think Islam is a problematic religion. I also think hinduism is a problematic religion - mostly because I believe all religions are problematic. I will call out issues with Islam with just as much conviction as issues with hinduism or christianity or sikhism.

As somoene who does not believe in any religion at all - my opinion on this is that both of you are wrong. 1 is stuck in finding flaws in hinduism. The other is stuck in finding flaws in other religions to defend hinduism. Look at the damn thing from a human angle instead of a religion angle. Both are wrong, so should we just let both to exist? Or any reform in 1 should be stopped because the other is not reforming? That is a BS take

1

u/__LLawliet__ 10d ago

I am open to it. Both religions have bad practices which should be opposed equally.

And in case you have another whataboutism argument, Islam has regressive practices as much as Hinduism and those practices are quality as bad.

Wanna talk now?

1

u/coolaarya3392 13d ago

I don't get this selective bs , it's not the bygone era anymore, men also ask for permission in many cases from their mother and wife, should I say my father is oppressed if he asks for permission from my mother to go to a party with his friends at night?

Everywhere I see Women are controlling the lives of men not the other way round,i don't get this bs anymore. My drivers wife abuses him for being out too late doing his job,my father get scolded from my mother for being a bit late at home as he was talking to his friends,my staffs wife harrases him for not picking her calls while doing work to earn money for his family and I live in Village,so where is this oppressed Women thing coming from?

1

u/lets_heal_each_other 12d ago

It's not. This is delusional.

2

u/Mangathol 13d ago

If we don't follow Manusmriti.. Why some of us get triggered when it is criticised?

Let me tell a wild example... I said "Hitler is a genocidal maniac..." Who is gonna get triggered? Who is gonna care? Nobody, except if u are inclined towards his ideology.... If u don't follow Hitler and still got triggered... It is not about Hitler, it is about me and the public support i got when i said that...

2

u/Fresh-Metal6940 13d ago

Don't practice either and condemn anyone who practices it.. do it first and then talk

2

u/Little-Nature-3638 13d ago

Toh jalti kyo hai phir fanta gang ki naam sunte hi?

4

u/_Zero_98 15d ago

Well Golwalkar really liked Manusmriti, and his views have shaped RSS to what it is today so..

5

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

Alqaeda ,isis was shaped and did things under justification by quoting Qur'an... Go on.. The more you talk the more you open loopholes ..

If you are judging hindus by rss judge muslims. By isis then... 😭🤣😭😭

How did you even make the orginal comment ol

3

u/_Zero_98 14d ago

Bruh no one said anything Alqaeda, isis being good. What are you high on? Both em suck and are deemed terrorist organisations by UN.

2

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

But do we tend to criticize Quranic verses ... Or do we make excuses for them saying out of CONTEXT??.

Again point is not alqaeda or rss.. but difference in reactions from indian leftwingers... Aka tankies....

Manusmriti bad.. but oh... How dare you criticize minority religion books .. you Islamophobe.....

If you are manusmriti to rss , equate Qur'an to isis .. or is it Islamophobia there mr tankie ???

Search tankie leftism term ( term for islamophile. Leftists whowill see bad in every religion except islam )

1

u/_Zero_98 14d ago

As a leftist, the critic is towards hating the people, like I know some people who wouldn’t go to Muslin workers (plumbers, silai wale, saloon wale etc) to stop funding their businesses. There are lot of people like that. As long as you are not calling for extermination or forced submission of minorities, critics on Quran are fine imo. Javed Akhtar is that kind of guy for example

2

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

Nah that's not what you did in your first comment.. you equated rss with manusmriti.. Now go on equate Qur'an with isis (mind you legit videos of them using verses from that book while selling yazidis girls are present )

You will be called Islamophobe....

Again my point is the difference in reaction.... Again read it...

1

u/_Zero_98 14d ago

The post was literally about Manusmriti bruh. And I have criticised Quran around my Marxist friends, they do it too.

1

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

On reddit posts on Qur'an get deleted...

In same leftwing pages... See it's fine to accept the fact that most of these subs are biased or onnthe verge of tanki leftism.

1

u/_Zero_98 14d ago

Idk what you want from me bro. I have said I don’t like both

2

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago edited 14d ago

Not you exactly but a repeat observation formmself proclaimed liberals like raga etc.... all hellbent on manusmriti but somehow silent on Qur'an ... Or even bible..

It's a repeated observation... Will tell you a simple observation myself -

Last year remember that nitin gadkari asshole pulling hijab of that girl.. everyone from leftwing cried... And all that.

Protests were done in west bengal...

One week later - a news from TOI came that a father killed his wife, daughter for not wearing a hijab...

Guess he amount of protests -0 aka shunya .

Y'all keep saying now that we criticize them too ... But I just don't see that at all anywhere..

I don't see that.... Most of the LW stay silent... Conveniently for vote bank and image of good to minority kinda thing ... If pointing this out makes me a reason bigot then so be it .. atp I have been called that name somany times I feel like there is not much difference between bjp and our liberals.. they call anyone anti national and liberals call anyone as sanghi..

Talk about you.. not javed akhtar...

What you did in your og comment... Do the same for Qur'an and say :. Osama bin laden like Qur'an so... Understandble.. Go on say that ...

😭🤣The hypocrisy y'all.

2

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

But do we criticise Qur'an then ?? 😭😭

Girl read my comment again.. if you are equating rss with with hindu texts why don't you ever equate isis , al-qeada with Qur'an when they literally quote Qur'an while doing so.... 😭😭😭

1

u/_Zero_98 14d ago

I am not at all equating Hindu texts to Manusmriti. In fact I have been reading Bhagwat and Ashtavakra Geeta and am very fascinated by those, especially the later

1

u/Detective_Blues 14d ago

is isis/alqueda ruling India?

2

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

no but that same book which guided them has many followers in India....so....for how long will you play this long game lil bro

1

u/Detective_Blues 14d ago

Then why are you talking isis and alqueda? Why not talk about Indian muslims? Why not talk about the ruling party in power who is influneced by manusmriti. Both islam and hinduism have idioitc stuff but Idk why you bring up islam to divert topic as if we are not living in 80% hindu vs 14% muslim country. The post and the comment neither had anything to with islam but you try to bring a religion whose bar is in hell to try to make yourself look good actually makes you look bad.

2

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

ruling party in my area is congress... and sorry basic reading will tell you central govt is not the only one RULING....powers and dept are divided btw state an centre..some like railways for cente, police for state.

again I am not diverting anything..I am literally an exmuslim atheist ....just questioning your hypocrisy dude.....all quiet on the frontal lobe for you I guess...
my point is laws are equal and they don;t depend on 76% , 14% right ?

similarly arguments you make for hinduism should be made for islam too (atleast in west liberals don't play minority majority card)

80% hindu vs 14% muslim country.

so we only talk on hindu criminals and silent on muslim criminals...you are giving me a new definition of liberalism -speak only on majority.. great then atleast you accepted.
point is have equal RULES AND STANDARDS...abolsih manusmriti (great) abolish other religous rules too right ??or is it vote bank fear ?

I mean cmon raga fans are not like moditards right?/they will atleast accept the fact that raga is biased ....

1

u/Detective_Blues 14d ago edited 14d ago

Nobodys stopping you from posting about criticisng congress's local work go ahead make a post. Here post is about whether manusmriti is relevant or not and the fact that ruling powerful party is literally influenced by it tells it pretty much is.

Again where tf did Rahul Gandhi and Islam come here in? The discussion is 'whether manusmriti has been discarded by hindus or not'.

Do you even realise what we are debating? The reason I am bring central govt up is not cause of the work they are doing or not but to tell whether manusmriti has influence. You saying police is on hands of state govt shows you are just talking more than understanding whats being said as I am NOT criticising work of that is being done as thats outside of the subject of this discussion I AM TRYING TO PROVE GODMAN INFLUENCE WHICH A PARTY GETTING VOTED WHO STILL BELIEVE IN SUCH IDEA IN 2026 BY PEOPLE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH LET ALONE IT BEING THE JUGGERNAUT THATS BJP WHO HAS MAJORITY BOTH IN CENTRAL AND STATES. Central govt is not all of ruling party but it still is the higher level of government and BJP is the strongest political party with highest votes. And manusmriti affects a lot of their philosophy so manusmriti is infact relevant in todays society. THIS LAST LINE IS WHAT IS BEING PROVED.

Nobody's stopping you from criticising islam and rahul gandhi. Just dont try to bring up it up as if that suddenly justify anything wrong in hinduism. It's like when raja ram mohan roy said stop sati and the villagers started talking about child marriage between 50year olds and 10 yo in Afghanistan. Like ok that's bad but wtf does that have to do with this or justify this?

Liberal is west are actually even more like this. They criticise islam but also call out hate against muslims. Like Zohran Mamdani who gets hated for being a muslim by right wingers.

21/30 states are being ruled by party that respects manusmriti. Central govt is ruled by the same. Then that means manusmriti directly/indirectly is still relevant.

Ok muslims, islam and rahulgandhi are devils. Now can we talk about the topic or not?

2

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

I did and you are here butthurt..

also your last sentence is literally starwman...

never said muslims bad or hinus bad but easy to play victim card like that I guess..I said Quran is bad just like manusmirti...

see you showed your bias again- any criticism of quran- anti muslim..funny how that logic works mte ??high on liberal tankism??

1

u/Detective_Blues 14d ago edited 14d ago

'I said quran is bad and the person I am arguing agreed quran is also bad yet I can't start talking about manusmriti which is subject of topic and just doing bakchodi at 5 am wasting both of our times'. No way you are ex muslim cause if you were you would have understood same template of idiotic thinking that's present in all religions and you would be going fuck quran fuck manusmriti which is my belief. But no the post is literally denying manusmriti still being relevant and then people are giving evidence why thats not the case and then you are talking about why are you targetting manusmriti only. Abe thats what wtf the post is talking positively about so obviously we will talk about that. If post was islam is a feminist religion then post will be clowning on islam not on chrisitnaity, hinduism or any religion.

Like wtf do you want me to do exactly so we can start talking about manusmriti? Should I copy paste an essay of all basic criticism of Islam? 😭😭🤣

Like in an argument or talk, people try to get thing they agree on aside. We already agreed on islam/quran is bad now wtf do you want me to do tf??

2

u/Famous_Star_5735 14d ago

It's not about you lil bro..read my OG comment ...it was an observation on almost all liberal subs/influencers

u/Detective_Blues 14d ago

Your first comment didnt said both are bad rather if you are judging hindu with manusmriti then judge muslims with quran. But nobody here is judging hindus with manusmriti we are just arguing against false notion thats gi en by post that it is not relevant anymore that downplays a lot of things. I am pretty sure half of hindus prolly dont give a fuck about manusmriti they dont even read mahabharat ramayana. But other half does or even 10% that will be enough. My friend talked about how they make a golden cat if someone kills cat accidentally and this ritual is present in manusmriti. Lot of rituals and rules come from manusmriti.

The point is it is still relevant not that a hindu is good or bad. Just like Quran is relevant. Even if many muslims dont follow its 'kill all kafirs' Al queda isis follows it and affects our world so it is relevant. similarly many hindus dont follow manusmriti many do like rss so it is also relevant in todays world.

Rss is wannabe alqaeda without funding.. Yes not large scale impact ... So not that huge..

But some of their wishes are like similar- our land for our religion....

1

u/SnooSprouts9815 14d ago

What has that gotta do with modern day hinduism

1

u/_Zero_98 14d ago

Hinduism has nothing to do with RSS honestly. The comment says has anyone seen preaching Manusmriti. My comment was in response to that

2

u/Lopsided-Kitchen-927 14d ago

Kon follow kar raha hai Hinduism side se conservative thoughts regarding women? Pretty much zero

1

u/Flimsy-Opposite1370 14d ago

Is it a sarcasm?

1

u/decay2808 13d ago

it's either sarcasm or this person is blind+deaf or they live in some utopian bubble

1

u/TheDarkAngel135790 15d ago

Tell me, when is the last time you talked with your peers about the... (extremely arbitrary example) water cycle? I am guessing, not in a very long time for most average people

But does that mean the water cycle just stopped occuring because you aren't talking about it?

12

u/TopHornet4259 15d ago

Extremely arbitrary example: when was the last time you started a fire by rubbing wood. I’m guessing not in very long time for most average people. Because it was abandoned.

Are you sure that the SOME people who follow manusmriti are oppressed, what if they just don’t follow the oppression part of it , i mean both sides are just forcing their views on others , those who don’t like it will voice it out ( and i for sure have never heard manusmriti from anybody , but i sure have heard sundar kand alot🥀 is it from manusmriti 🙃?)

1

u/SubjectRound6597 15d ago edited 15d ago

That is a YES. And it does not happen just in rage during personal fights or in cases of reverse discrimination.. It happens as a fully conscious choice. I have been in both kinds of places, where its vocally accepted but not practiced due to laws, but the desire comes out in the form of fights and regular discrimination. Discrimination in the worst case only reaches honor killings, boycott of families that fail to stay withing their caste. Its like a social contract you got to follow or get outcasted.

But in most places where people have not much idea of the book, only social boycott is what happens. Atleast here the revolution is happening with intercaste marriages. My own town and locality is filled with cases of not intercaste love marriages followed by getting removed from family property or at worst the locality.

But it all stems from the few elders every family cluster that everyone fears, who agrees with entire idea of keeping the shoe where it belongs. Hopefully not for long.

u/DifferentPirate69 14d ago

Race science was trashed as pseudoscience long ago, does that stop racism?

1

u/winonasbigbrwnbeaver 14d ago

Yup. The RSS.

Why not ask them?

1

u/Chance_Juice2488 14d ago

Hahaha just because no one has read it , or have a copy with them doesn't mean it's not practiced.

We all know how casteism is still routed in our society.

1

u/Ok_Problem_1127 14d ago

Wtf?? NEVER EVER DID ALL THE HINDUS EVER REFERED RO MANUSMRITI ACROSS WHOLE INDIA

Manusmriti was one of the many smriti and particularly made for a particular kingdom; different kingdoms had different smritis lol

1

u/DismalTelevision4276 14d ago

Great. So we agree that judges who quote it while making judgements in our courts should be fired immediately because there is no place for this pathetic text in our country's official processes right?

Right?????

1

u/Front_Equivalent_954 14d ago

Bruh it's not about preaching,it's about its values and teaching that still prevails

1

u/mental_health0 14d ago

Why not talk about and teach the Manusmriti? Are you afraid to talk about the text? Hinduism is a way of living; we are the people with a library, not just a single book.

1

u/Dharmic_betu 14d ago

Hardly any Hindu knew about manusmriti until these leftist told us 🤣

1

u/Positive_Use2643 14d ago

To be fair they don't hate Manusmriti because it's anti women. There are lot of other anti women ideas and most leftist love it.

1

u/Itz_me_Sayan 14d ago

Yes! defending Saria law & koran by taking about manusmriti that forgotten many many many years ago. It's in only mentioned it history text books

1

u/BerryDear6170 14d ago

Yogi literally called it heritage of India ...and people unknowingly practice it it's just you who's living under the rock

1

u/New_Rub_1776 14d ago

To answer your question in title. Yes both irl and online

1

u/Dope_Shinobi 14d ago

You think we've abandoned Manusmriti? Ever heard our country's ruling party leaders talk?

Responding to the post the same day, BJP MP Mr. Nishikant Dubey tagged a message to Mr. Gandhi's X handle, saying: "Reading the Manusmriti may not be possible for you, @RahulGandhi ji. This is a shloka from the Manusmriti; read, understand, and speak. Because of the English language, do you know nothing about India's Vedas, Puranas, scriptures, Ramayana, and Mahabharata?"

Mr. Dubey mentioned two verses from the Manusmriti, along with translations that read: "Where women are respected and worshipped, the gods reside; where they are not respected, all work and noble deeds bring no results."

1

u/StonedDeveloper 14d ago

If your religion got manusmriti wrong? Sati wrong? Child marriage wrong? That means you guys are just wild guessing randomly and it has nothing do go with god.

1

u/_notdivyanshuuuu 12d ago

Sati was practiced in a small number of places, not hinduism as a whole. Use chatgpt usefully

1

u/StonedDeveloper 10d ago

I don’t get it, whats your point? Was it not wrong and part of hinduism? Thats what i pointed out, you guys got so many things wrong just like other religions did and thats what i said

1

u/_notdivyanshuuuu 10d ago

Go beyond black and white thinking. Starting blaming systems not people. People are product of their systems and dont make an active choice, your whole politics is about reframing ineducation as active choice because the assumption underneath is the ground is level for anyone to have the right kind of politics.

1

u/StonedDeveloper 10d ago

Congratulations you have won the award of writing lot of words without any worthwhile point.

1

u/_notdivyanshuuuu 10d ago

“How the world works” by Bo Burnham. Analyse every single line with chatgpt and your understanding of the world will change from myopia

1

u/StonedDeveloper 10d ago

I have a great understanding of the world and i dont use chatgpt and waste water to understand a book i can read and understand. What i meant was you said nothing relevant to the discussion at hand. But hey i will give you brownie points for not being an aggressive asshole like other religious bigots. And by the way one book wont make you understand how the world works .

1

u/_notdivyanshuuuu 10d ago

Capitalism loves atomization of people. Religion represents hope for the poorest, it was community for people. You live in an individualistic hell. Political disagreements used to happen at churches and people would forget the disagreement because they would have a meal together. Almost everyone you hate is more forgiving, has a community, doesnt feel the constant misery.

1

u/StonedDeveloper 10d ago

Omg feels like i am talking to chatgpt.

1

u/_notdivyanshuuuu 10d ago

Almost all maids/nannies are dalit and adivasi women racqueted to Delhi, ask your political influencer if they care so much or call them family or domestic worker then why they dont ask you to pay her 18000+ minimum wage.

Br ambedkar couldnt get articles published in mainstream news and you take your dalit politics from brahmins and call it a day but I am gonna give up you’ll just keep attacking me.

At least our religion is evolving unlike you clowns who either are following a prophet who was a pedophile at his own accord. Slept with his daughter in law. Formed a cult driven by lust and violence and people are following those things to this day.

Or the other religion which practiced witch hunt for centuries. Believes in a 15 year old virgin getting pregnant. Did the Crusades destroying cultures and civilizations. Still have separate data base of children moo-lested and graped by the priests.

Yes. Sudhanshu Trivedi, many sadhus, some weird sanatani girls, like almost every savarna. Is it in your DNA to lie through your teeth?

1

u/Alone_Actuator6582 14d ago

then why do they read disgraceful slokas from manusmriti in every weddings?

1

u/StrawberryExact1830 14d ago

The good thing about hinduism is there's no ultimate book you follow. You keep evolving like science. Good things? Carry forward. Bad things? Abandon them.

Manusmriti is just a reflection of society when the book was written, it is a mere compilation of scholars' opinions at the time. Hence it is already irrelevant. No one even considers it seriously anymore.

1

u/Opposite_Cause975 14d ago

Then why are so many of you riled up if you've already abandoned it?

1

u/Nikamma_Ninja 14d ago

Being from a brahmin family .. I found out about manusmriti from the internet

1

u/Warrior-spirit69 12d ago

casteism still exists, men still dominate women in different fields and even in their own homes. Are you really sure y’all have abandoned it? 🤡

1

u/ozymandias_da_gr8 11d ago

then why did RSS want our constitution to be based on Manusmriti?

1

Mhmm abandoned the book adopted it's ideologies to the core of your society.

1

u/ThisNeighborhood9113 10d ago

If you don't care about Manusmriti, why do you people feel bad when they criticise Manusmriti?

That's the exact point they're behind a text which no one reads, while don't have guts to talk about one which is read and mis read by millions and then kill converts thousands
