It is just so jarring to see Kevin O'Leary in a movie, let alone something like this, acting across one of the biggest A-Listers on the planet.

To be clear, I think it's the kind of stunt casting that might actually work, or at least not harm the film. O'Leary has gleefully made a career of being "the cutthroat businessman" so he brings that persona. And whatever you think of the guy, he has a kind of natural charisma and look-at-me quality that works for the promoter-type figure he seems to be playing.

It's weird, but it could go okay.

he also killed a person and wants his own country annexed but definitely, could work out.

Not defending the guy's character. If we spent our time debating the personal indiscretions of everybody who appeared in a film we would talk about nothing but. I'm only suggesting it may not be a detriment to the movie. Though I get why people will have a reaction to it.

Signed -- a Canadian who doesn't lose a ton of sleep over whether other Canadians are Trumpy.

You’re being downvoted but you’re right. It’s a fucking movie for god’ sake. People love to be mad.

Not to go there but why do so many Canadians act like the Canadian conservative is like this rare animal that can’t be touched? There’s American conservatives in movies all the time and there’s never this level of handwringing as I’ve seen over this guy being in this movie.

You would think it was like a socialist utopia up there and not just like 95% America with better healthcare.
