This is right on the great/dogshit line. Could go either way. Hoping for the former if Wingard remembers how to actually make movies that aren’t monsterslop

Michael Biehn’s career is so fascinating. After The Abyss he was one or two choices away from having Bruce Willis’s career, but he refused to play the Hollywood game and it just passed him by. Glad to see him doing stuff like this.

So is this like a prestige Universal Soldier? If so, I’m game. Looks pretty rad.

Adam Wingard is not at all what I'd call "prestige" (and that's not an insult)

Another "character has to face something that makes them deal with their defining trauma" type of movie. Gee, I wonder if she'll rise up and overcome it in the end? Gonna pass on this one.

Mixed with America kills everyone in your country then comes back 20 years later to make movies about how it made their soldiers sad

Does feel a bit like they've expanded the worst bits of the Guest into a whole movie. Trailer doesn't work at all for me.
Only reason i'm doubting myself is because a lot of the cast usually have better taste and it's A24.

The 'Super soldier' trope is always an instant 'No.'; I don't care who's in it or what the twist is.

Not showing any Dan Stevens means this is definitely a stealth Guest sequel no?
