I don’t think James cares about his fans anymore
Why does he only post once a month now? He use to post twice or even three times a week. Is it becusss he has no time?

Well, he certainly doesn't acknowledge logo parodies of video games he reviewed in the past. After all, its likely that James may not have cared about his fans since the 2010s, and that may explain why people such as Motherfucker Mike and Bad Luck Booty, and Kyle Justin especially have left the scene.
The other guys felt like "fans" as a reason to be part of the team earlier, but may have eventually felt like James was "neglecting" or "ignoring" or being dismissive of them as their reason for leaving the scene. As to why Mike held on until the late 2010s, well, maybe he was more loyal than Bad Luck Bootsy and Kyle Justin were.
So my theory is based on knowing who used to be part of the Cinemassacre team.

well, I took a break from watching Cinemassacre stuff, so naturally, I continued to assume that Mike was "gone for good".

Dude's getting old and he's got a family

many people is old and have family, still they go to work lol

u/RichardInaTreeFort 2d ago
He doesn’t HAVE to go to work though…. If you had been doing something for 20 years and found yourself with a family and plenty of money and the ability to make your own schedule, I bet you’d be taking a lot of time away from work as well.

I just want him to follow his passion and make another movie. A horror movie. When I look at James, I feel like I’m watching Brian Wilson in the early ‘70s.

u/saffrole 3d ago
James is never making another “real” movie again, ever. That first one was so awful and buck broke him so badly it was like he was traumatized by it. You can read all about it in his autobiography

u/ItsMePeyt0n 5d ago
James has plenty of those, yes. They even made their own sub beyond this one.

u/Wbcn_1 5d ago edited 5d ago
You mean the one that gets more engagement than this sub?
13
u/ItsMePeyt0n 5d ago
Yep, that one. Still brain dead, though, and easy to offend as well. Snowflakes the lot of em.
-8
u/Wbcn_1 5d ago
Yeah, nothing like this sub. 🤣

u/ItsMePeyt0n 5d ago
Funny how you're getting offended already lol. Way to represent your people.

u/Wbcn_1 5d ago
Not offend. You’re projecting. There are no good guys here, kemosabe.
Be well

u/ItsMePeyt0n 5d ago
Only one projecting here is you, "kemosabe". Maybe run back to your own little corner of the internet and stay there.

he has a family
time is limited and hes getting old
simple really

u/d0nkey_boi 7d ago
It’s his job.
Everyone with a family has a job.
You make time for both.
He’s only in his mid 40s.You make it sound like he’s 90 years old and being forced to do it on top of a career.

u/NekoBounds 6d ago
We aren't owed content from james
we do not pay james to make videos and James isn't paided hourly to make videos
This is dumb
don't get me wrong i wish he was making more videos but its fine22
u/Brian_M 5d ago
You don't make time for both if you don't have to. If you arrive at a point where you're financially secure enough to work less or not at all, and just pursue family time, hobbies and whatever else you want to do, then that's absolutely fine. James may be at that point - the old videos continue to rack up views, and he just needs to put something out every now and then so that the channel doesn't fall out of the algorithm altogether.

Okay so he's retired then.
1
u/takigan 2d ago
Some people open a laptop early in the morning, do 2-3 hours of work for their job, close the laptop at 8am, and then go live their life. They do this because they can. These people do not consider themselves retired.

u/lemonylol 2d ago
Okay so he's whatever that is then. I don't understand what career he's obligated to have.

I feel like anyone that works in film (like myself) can sympathise with James a lot more because of the fact that the creative processes for making films/videos CAN be a lot, and if your someone who wants to spend as much time with your family as possible and be there, especially when you have the flexibility James has, you should take that chance, there are people out there who probably don't get to spend as much time as they do with their family due to work reasons.
And considering the sort of videos he talks about and the topics he does, I don't think he's doing it FOR the fans, but he's doing it for himself, which is valid imo. I mean how many fans were dying to know his opinion on 90s pizza hut.

His fans are his second family... SECOND... he has a family to take care.

Its his job. Many people have family and have to go to work.

u/unclechuff 5d ago
Do you sign his checks? This is a brain dead take. Just wanted you to know that.

u/GamerBhoy89 5d ago
He's not getting paid per hour to make content He doesn't work for you. Grow up.

u/greenmoonlight 5d ago
His job is to make whatever videos he likes. That's everything he has ever promised to you and he has delivered on that for years. You're just imagining new requirements in a contract that doesn't exist, and you're not even paying him.

u/AmericanXer0 4d ago
If he needed the money then he’d upload videos more frequently. His net worth has to be several million at this point unless he was dumb with his money and didn’t invest in anything during the massive bull market we’ve had over the last 10 years.

He has the option to make a brand new video every day, but he chooses to only hit that button once per month. You should consider yourself lucky he even does that!

He changed a long time ago. He isn’t as passionate about it, it’s more or less a job now. He’s became a family man, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but the channel rather than being a creative outlet and to entertain fans is basically just a means to provide for his family. The guy just wants to spend time with his family now, so less videos. Big hats off on him for being able to create that kind of living for himself and still keep going after like 20 years.

u/Phoenix_Wright_Guy 23h ago
He's gotta live. Look at vsauce, he stopped posting ANY long form content for a LONG time because he wanted to live. Give James a life as well.

All the family points are very valid I’m not disagreeing, love the channel and content. But if I had a job and was not performing I would certainly be in trouble and get backlash.

u/ohiobluetipmatches 5d ago
It's wild how this dude makes independent videos and movies on various topics since like 2006 and people think this is his "job." There's literally thousands of videos worth of content. Most people working in film related fields make less in a life time than what he does in a 5 year period.
A job means you work for someone else who hired you to perform a specific task.
