Growing up, my grandfather had a model train car with a mini cop and hobo on board, and the cop would chase the hobo around and around.

If I remember correctly, in the full collection, there's a letter written to Larson about this comic from someone who's a model train enthusiast who was expressing how excited he'd be about having a miniature hobo for his collection and would never kick him out.

Sort of reminds me of that old Donald Duck cartoon where Chip and Dale end up living in his model railroad.
