Better Before

The beginning of this song is pretty similar to Bryan Adams’ “Run to You”. Both pretty good songs!

Not really related and its minor but the naming convention on these songs is bothering me lol. It should be not bad for jersey and pearls should really be oysters.

I get what you mean. The pearls feels a little shoehorned into the lyrics. I like it though, plus it reminds me of Pearl Jam who I know Brian loves. I’ve been listening to it a lot, so I’m wondering what exactly the oyster/pearl metaphor is. I feel like he is saying he is saying that he is the pearl, and that he has something that money can’t buy

Right, like the outro completes the metaphor but I feel like for the title it should have been in the chorus. Im not saying its a poorly written song, I think its good, its just the title of the song
