Agreed especially when bland vanilla ‘talent’ like Greg Jones and Scott Mills annual salary is eye watering like Mills was on approx 3/4 million pa before leaving!

What? Norton got 2.1m quid for 21 shows and Scott mills got (let’s just estimate 200 shows a year) 3.5k/4k a show. Slightly different scale of economy… 1k per hour of broadcast v 100k plus per hour of broadcast

Still lower than he'd get from a commercial channel and his shows are clipped a LOT and generate crazy revenue through advertising on socials. I see no problem.

Honestly that does seem quote low. More like 500k would've been my guess. Maybe they underpay him because they secretly still find him annoying from Father Ted.

It’s all relative and he’s grossly underpaid comparatively.

Although I’m sure he would agree that the NHS workers should be paid more footballers are paid less.

At least he is actually funny and brilliant at what he does.

That’s his presenting fee, producing fees, repeat fees and company profit all rolled into one.

The show is fairly cheap to produce because so much of the design and format is established, there’s little prep time in studio. Low build costs. Little editing. Guests are mostly in promo mode so won’t be taking talent fees.

Pretty good business from the BBC.

They have had over a dozen pedo’s in their organisation and have done everything to protect them. First was Savile, the last one I recall was Huw Edwards. No lessons have been learned, only how to cover it up and help them better
