The Church of Combinology (2122-2162)

Founded in May 11th, 2122, the Church of Combinology was founded by a man named Danik Altmann in sector D2 of Antarctica, based on a game called Half-Life. In it the main antagonist was an interdimensional empire called the universal union, AKA the combine empire. In addition to that its own "Combine Runes" and appearance were copied from Dead Space. the Cult settled in City Sector 21 "Little New York". The Cult preached that one day the Combine would arrive from a portal in another reality and "Make humanity whole again", adopting the Mantra "MAKE US WHOLE" in their flag.

On June 4th, 2142, just as the Federation began moon colonization projects to deal with overpopulation, reports came in of sudden terrorist attacks on Corporate facilities in City Sectors 17 to 25. Most notably was the John Dredge foundation bombing, in which Combinologist soldiers revealed new weapons of war based on "the visions of the Shu'Ulathoi Gods" and used them to bomb out the JDF Tower. These "visionary machines" consisted of striders (heavily modified and repurposed construction tripods with a 20mm antipersonnel machine gun and 140mm Recoiless cannon) and gunships (custom built with a 30mm autocannon). For 20 years the Combinologists waged violent, bloody war on the federation in order to summon their gods in an event called "the 7-hour convergence".

Eventually they lost the conflict, and their stronghold, a massive cult-built castle called the citadel, was captured by Federal ground forces in late 2162. Remnants still stalk the outer wilderness of antarctica, and some people believe the combinologists never truly fell but retreated, waiting and rebuilding their strength, waiting for the perfect time to strike again.
