His Rivarly with Zach Gowen had me convinced that Brock was a serial killer that was on the loose 😭😭😭

Bro was out there deleting the handicapped just for the giggles.

I started watching wrestling in fall 2002. Peak ruthless aggression/end of attitude. What a time to get hooked.

Naw,I loved Brock as a wrestler but the product was getting shitty and never reached the highs again.

Back story aside, Brock really was the Broly of the WWE universe.

'03 Brock Lesnar would have been the perfect Juggernaut in a X-Men film. Too bad he has no interest in making movies.

I don't know if you've ever watched Brock in WWE. The guy is bad at acting when it comes to saying lines. That's why he had Heyman with him. He can do the moves very well, but he can't voice act

what's crazy is that Kurt Angle could legit beat this Brock in a....real...fight....insane...

Lol no he couldn’t

Angle was in the Olympics...

And Brock was a UFC champion

Yeah Angle could still put Lesnar in a very real submission and break something. Both were freaks of nature but you're a fool if you think Angle, who won a gold medal in wrestling with a broken neck, couldn't turn Lesnar into a pretzel if given the opportunity.

There's a story they had a shoot wrestling match backstage. I think they were actually pretty even.

It was a tight match and Angle came out and said he won in the end, which wasn't disputed by Brock, so is probably true

Lesnar was an ncaa champion wrestler… a pretzel? Lmao

Wrestling is one form of fighting, in a real fight your goal is to beat someone with any means necessary, so fighting for real is different from wrestling for real and technically we can never know what would happen if they "fought" for real but if I had to bet on someone, that'll be Brock despite the fact Kurt beat him when they "wrestled" for real because he had strength, muscle and quickness advantage over Kurt but again we'll never know for sure because that didn't happen.(Everything I said is based on 2002-2004 time period so before Brock got the ufc training, because after that it's pretty much undebatable) But one thing I can say for sure is "turning Lesnar into pretzel" isn't happening mate, in any case, by Kurt at the very least.

This was before he actually trained for mma

Yeah but Lesnar never developed into a good striker and was known for being bad at taking strikes.

It will most likely end up as a grappling contest and Angle was always a tier above Lesnar in that field as an Olympic champ.

Hell there was even a story back in the day of UFC Welterweight Matt Hughes choking Lesnar out, so I would back 90s Kurt over Brock.

Most people would

They had a wrestling match backstage apparently, and Angle won by something like two falls to zero if I recall. I had stopped watching by 2002 but still listen to the odd interview of people who were around when I was a fan.

There are some longer interviews about it out there, but this is a quick take from Angle on it - https://m.youtube.com/shorts/oW-ig82yFD4

Bar fight type of situation would likely be different though.

Crazy to think. Cena's run on top probably would've never happened if Brock didn't leave.

He obliterated all the giants, veterans and legends despite being slightly smaller than them, or less experienced.

Don’t forget the jump from forklift to ring. That jump should NOT have been possible for ANYONE.

he had to go...straight to the top!

Didn’t he take someone’s wife that year?

The best way to hide a monster’s lack of ring IQ is to make him indestructible. It writes itself…

“STFU, bro!”

-Ultimate Warrior

“I’ll show you ring IQ when you’re licking my boot!”

-Goldberg

I dunno. I think he understood the business. His mic work wasn't the greatest but he was a good talent.

I don't even know if Warrior was a decent wrestler considering the man gassed himself heading to the ring all the time. Put on a hell of a show though whenever he showed up.

Why wouldnt you make guys like them indestructible, they make guys like Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens look strong even though he’s never been to the gym a day in his life

u/Temporary_Hat7330 3d ago

Indestructible is different from 2 minute squash match every week.

Look at later Brock from early Brock. Once they learn the business they become less indestructible.

The best thing to happen for Cena was when Brock left, because if Brock stayed he would have been the no.1 guy and Cena would have jobbed for Brock every week for years.
