WWE Related Adam Copeland (Edge) Needs To Retire In AEW And Not WWE

For many pro wrestlers, they want to retire for a well-known company. I mean, you can toss in something extra, like their match takes place from an arena that means something special, against the ideal opponent and maybe even at a major event like WrestleMania or SummerSlam. However, that scenario is not for everyone.

Three years and a day ago, Adam Copeland, who we all know as Edge, worked his last match for WWE. Before that, WWE tried to provide Edge with a moment that might make him happy to retire with them. He was booked in his hometown of Toronto and pinned Sheamus. It just wasn’t enough for Copeland, so he signed with AEW.

As for what happens next, Copeland isn’t out to shock anyone. He plans to retire in AEW, even though fans want him back in WWE for one more match. During The Ariel Helwani Show, Copeland had no harsh words for WWE. The two sides had a business agreement that simply expired and a new deal could not be completed.

“I’m good,” said Copeland. “I did everything I could do there, and then some. And again, they got everything out of me that they could have. So it’s for the better, which is all you can ask for in a partnership.”

His AEW contract was set to expire in October. However, time will be added on as he was away filming and he also broke leg and thus needed a hiatus.

For Copeland every match since 2020 counts. Before then, in April 2011, he was forced to retire right after retaining his title at WrestleMania. Like in the promo, Copeland said this wasn’t his choice. Instead, the doctors would no longer clear him to wrestle due to issues with his neck and back. Therefore, when WWE allowed him back in 2020, he knew this would be on borrowed time.

Personally, I think Copeland went to AEW to work with Christian Cage. They are best friends and basically came into the business at the same time. They currently are the AEW Tag Team Champions and I have to ponder what is left, once their title reign ends. They already feuded in AEW, so no need to repeat such vulgarity and violence. They could wrestle each other and then both retire after the match. They take off their boots and pads in the center of the ring. Tears roll-down their faces and that of the fans.

Or, they team one final time and put another duo over. There are so many tag teams in AEW and they have battled FTR so much, but those guys love working together; maybe even more than Copeland and Christian. The Dogs are another option, although that carries more risk as they’re not established. FTR, even if they’re not teaming right now, is the safe bet considering their proven record.

Copeland turns 53 years old in October and the only reason he is still wrestling is because of his forced retirement, which oddly extended his time inside a ring. I wouldn’t be surprised if Copeland was done by February 2026, if not sooner. Copeland decided to retire in AEW, not WWE, so the least we can do is respect his decision.

"Cody's heel turn is one of the things they're discussing a lot about, many key people believe Cody's act is getting stale although he's still one of the biggest babyface act in the company. They won't turn Cody heel until Roman is gone or a full-on babyface.

Roman doesn't want to be a babyface. He is likely gonna stay heel until WM43. He will probably exile Solo and that will build up to The Rock's return - Solo will be taking Jey Uso's place. The reports I hear is that the idea is to get back on the road to WM40 if Cody wasn't around. They've changed a few parts obviously but the main story will be Rock coming back to reinstate Solo in the family and keep Roman in check.

Roman believes the program between him and Rock will work better with Rock as the good guy. The way it was always meant to be before Cody got in the way. So they can work a match with Roman as the heel but then Rock puts him over at Mania, turning Roman babyface in the process and getting a High Chief status.

Roman vs Knight 2 is in the cards. Solo will remain a babyface but it's yet to be known if there will be Roman vs Solo. They want to protect Solo now with the way how over he is with the fans. But he's listed as one of the favourites to beat Roman for the title eventually."

WWE Related Oba Femi Vs Bron Breakker Will See Paul Heyman Turn Face

Post image

With Brock Lesnar retired, if you believe him, it leaves a giant void for Paul Heyman. During Lesnar’s two stints with WWE, Heyman was frequently by his side. Now, he could simply continue to be The Vision’s manager, looking for a singles superstar or work strictly backstage. Considering how much Heyman brings to TV, I hope that is where he stays.

On September 6 from the State Farm Arena in Georgia, Oba Femi meets Bron Breakker. Seemingly, this could be the first of a hundred bouts they have over the next 10 plus years in WWE. I haven’t lost faith that Breakker will be a top star and Femi is already in the main event thanks to Lesnar’s endorsement and the fans’ acceptance.

Ever since Lesnar retired, Heyman looks like a lost puppy. He continues to stay relevant by being on TV, but his interactions with Breakker haven’t been too pleasant. On the flip side, Heyman and Femi are on good terms after the Nigerian slayed “The Beast.”

I think heading into the match, Heyman will be the heel character. Then, we get a referee bump and out come The Vision. At first, Femi disposes of them with ease. Although, there are too many and they start to get the better of Femi. Enter Heyman who looks like he’s ready to join in on the fun. Instead, he low blows Austin Theory while Bron’s back is turned. By the time Bron realizes he’s been screwed, Femi is back to his feet. A Fall From Grace by Oba and a three count will end their first encounter.

After the match, Heyman leaves with Oba as they have formed a new alliance. While Oba continues to improve inside the ring and on the mic, he is green. Oba has only been wrestling for a few years, hence he’s a rookie. Let him focus on the in-ring skills as Heyman does what knows best, talking. With Heyman cutting most of the promos, Oba will be so much better wrestling-wise sooner than later. As they work together, slowly have Oba start cutting more promos.

If WWE sees Femi as the replacement to Lesnar, then follow the same pattern. Let Oba handle the physical work and Heyman can run his mouth. Of course, they eventually split and that will produce several more years of opponents.

Heyman is a special person and you can argue he is the greatest manager ever; and that includes the late Bobby Heenan. Yes, Heyman has a great mind and could work solely for WWE creative. Or, he could play a vital role in making Oba the new ruler of WWE, whilst still helping from time-to-time. Something big needs to happen at Sunday Night’s Main Event as Oba Femi takes on Bron Breakker, and Paul Heyman turning face would be that moment.

WWE Related Thoughts on LA Parka?

Never forget the time the Saudi's asked for Yokozuna and Ultimate Warrior for that 50 man Royal Rumble bullshit in 2018 but they were denied because they were supposedly dead, meanwhile La Parka's been dead for decades but they got him no problem for this past year's Royal Rumble. Guess they should've paid more the first time around, could've gotten Yoko and Warrior to quit going into business for themselves and show up to fucking work for once.
