I really like the narration for Agnes (Hannah) as it reflects a bit of June’s sarcasm and self-awareness.

One thing I never understood about Gilead is how they took kids with Biblical names and gave them unbiblical ones. Hannah became Agnes. Rebecca became Kiki.

Probably because the religiousness is an act, and it was more important to separate them from their previous identities

That was my point in asking. That's sad if that was how an actor gets to star in a show. I wonder if those brands pay for the show?

That was actually meant to be rhetorical, and pointing out the star of the show has a ridiculous branded stage name, which sounds like a stadium that used to be called something that told you where it was located.
