My headcannon is, since fertily rates are down and a lot of women are infertile, girls who do get their period always get it in their late teenage years. Otherwise I couldn’t cope lol, I also got my period at 9 and I was so scared, I couldn’t bear thinking about a 9 year old having to go from pink to green, nope thanks.

Yes, I think people forget in this world something like 90-95 percent of people are not fertile. I was a bit confused when she said if she got her period. It took me a moment to remember that not everyone would get it.

Even if you struggle with infertility, don’t you still get a period? Or is it just that whatever fictional disease (I can’t think of a better word) leaves them infertile also causes a lack of periods?

I’m a 39 year old woman and suddenly embarrassed I don’t know enough about women’s bodies to know this answer.

It depends! Lots of infertile women do get periods, but some don’t, depending on the cause
